@tarantulakat Yes, mine is a doll!Easily one of the most tolerant to handling compared to my others. Mine has created a sort of ant hill/turret which has been cool to observe too.

I've had one for a few years, and when I got it, it burrowed and I didn't see of for probably 6 months, possibly more. It just refused to come out. Refused to eat. Finally did and ate for about 3 months, and now it's been back in hiding again for the last 2 months. 😅

The Ceratogyrus brachycephalus is the same size as mine which I got from Tom too! They’re probably from the same sac! I just got it earlier this month. You gotta ask Tom to get you the Brachionopus sp. Limpopo too! Super cute & black Old World dwarf.

I have the Bonnetina Minax. I love telling people I have a Mexican copperhead. I've had mine since August 2024. She's about the same size as the one you got 😁 I got mine from Crystal Palace Exotics. Mine is a little bolty and loves to dig but also comes up a lot too. She's my most aggressive eater meaning I know she will eat. She loves crickets and gets 2 every time. I love the little heart on their backs too. They get so much more copper as they get older and it's such an amazing species to watch grow! Just for those wondering, yes I started a tarantula collection because of Kat. Watching KZbin of the tarantulas you own got my boyfriend to let me get some. Now I'm addicted. I got the B. Minax Grammostola Pulchra, Panama Blonde(can't remember scientific name), The T. Verdezi, and C. Elegans. I love them all equally. The one with the biggest Tude i got is the c. Elegans and she's the smallest. I also got an Asian forest scorpion (or three lol) from watching Kat 😊 next one will be the Arizona blonde or a black widow. I'm so happy the copperhead got some love!I've been wondering if you had one or not.

Glad that those tarantulas were not naughty. I was worried that they might do the threat posture but they didn’t. Those tarantulas are going to live a very nice life in their well decorated enclosures and have a merry Christmas and have a happy new year.

What a lovely gift. I love my M robustum. I would definitely give her a bit more substrate though. Mine has made a nice burrow and rarely ever emerges from it. I just get to see little legs grabbing for food most of the time.

I prefer the 4x4x3 cuboids to the 2x2x3 sling cribs, even when dealing with incredibly tiny spiders, I find the cribs kinda difficult to keep moist.

I've had a Mexican Copperhead for a few years now and mine comes out to eat and roams for a few months and then I don't see it for about 6 months and it refuses to eat. Lol. But it's so cute because it has a heart on the booty. But yeah...definitely goes on hunger strikes for months. Which mine currently is doing. 😅

I'm always interested to see what the names of the spiders are. I try to guess what they mean from what I know of classical roots. (Sometimes not even Google can fish out the meaning of a name, which is frustrating.) The names must be hell to pronounce for people who were taught to read by the "whole language" method.

am 40 now and i went all my life from not liking spiders to now almost wanting one but it has to be a relax spider. its weird am thinking who am i i used to realy not like spiders,funny enough the game smalland made me like spiders you can tame them there and use them as a companion and youre own charc is sort of like a fairy.
