Probably the best cruiser of the war. She got even more firepower than even the heavy cruisers of her time. (7080 kg of AP shells per minutes, compare to 5472 on Baltimore, 5040 on Mogami, and 3700 on Aoba) A shame she never has her full potential in the game.

Clevelands were supposed to be tier 8 but wg decided not to cut the caliber progression so they are severly gimped to fit tier 6

just remember in one of her battles she fires so many 6 and 5-inch guns at one of the enemy battleships/Battlecruisers Kongou Class that it basically made the entire ship combat ineffective due to sheer weight of fire,sure she wasn't sunk but she couldn't even virtually move anything anymore The Cleaveland should be moved up to tier 8 and have her velocity,RoF (yes right now the rof is nerfed to suit tier 6) and shell consistency damage buffed a bit to compensate

Use the arcs to your advantage (islands) and you will find her an amazing ship. I played 300+ games in my Cleve and despite all the nerfs it got I still like it. You can check my records using id cyqsimon on the Asia server.

+Simon Cheng my win rate with her is over 58% in 110 battles, I still prefer German / Ussr cruisers more at this tier

From my perspective the main differences between US and other nations' cruisers in the game are their excellent armor against cruiser AP, excellent salvo angles, and excellent normalization angles an AP shells. All this combined makes US cruisers particularly great at short range engagements, especially against other cruisers. I can often finish off my enemies before they have a chance to send torpedoes. The arcs are lazy, but at close range it's not an issue at all. So untimately I think it comes down to style: if you prefer long range engagements, don't play US cruisers. But I just can't resist the thrill of out-maneuvering my opponents and landing huge citadels at close range. That's why I love the Cleveland and US cruisers in general. P.S. 62% win rate in Cleveland Hah
