I love this video. Many of the things that you demonstrated NEED to be viewed by the worship bass community. Let’s collab.

Great lesson, simple but practical like a real life lesson. This is almost what I am looking for and more of stuff like this will make me want to subscribe to the monthly membership, hope you could do a lesson for a slow worship service where there's a lot of space from the beginning but finishes loud and strong. I am from a church where 90% of what we play are slow and mellow tempo songs ...

Thank you for priceless tips on how to apply simple things I’ve learn for just the approach when to and when not to interject bass lines and phrases during a particular part of the song, have patience, pay attention to the mood of the song and let it grow Just the the terminology and the words used during this video will definitely help me break down a song during the heat of the moment 🥺😳 Which I like to call heat of the meat Thanks again! Sometimes it’s not always what you play.....its definitely what YOU say!

What kind of bass do you recommend for worship music? P Bass, Jazz Bass, or PJ Bass?
@JermaineMorganBass2 жыл бұрын
Jazz bass is pretty much a standard for almost any genre, however, you can play whatever you're most comfortable with.
@romeou49652 жыл бұрын
Which ever you have in your hands. Pbass is used more in studio and rock concerts. PJ pickup will let you cut thru mix more by adding mid frequencies. Jazz bass is best for slap and soloing given it’s enhanced clarity. Tone is where you put fingers: Near neck for more bass notes and near bridge for bright notes. And clip the fingernails!

Enjoyed the video... but after “less is more...” @ 6:32 “Something went wrong” at the vid stopped. The only way to continue watching is to skip past 6:32. Heads up FYI.

Hi Chris, you can actually go into KZbin settings and slow the video down to a speed that’s more comfortable for you
