Hope you have a great wife who takes great care of you!😊 You're a great business man. This video should have a billion likes!! These millennials are more concerned about giving their favorite celebrity clicks and views instead of researching guys like this who really started from the bottom but came up by doing it the LEGIT way. It don't have to be law care business but this could be the blueprint for anyone who need that inspiration to start their own business. Great job!!👏👏👏👏👏

Congratulations to him on his success! A million dollars per year! That’s a lot of grass! Give the best service to your customers, get those referrals, and you’ll never run out of customers. Customer service is the most important thing for any business, and you seem to be doing it right. Many great ideas were expressed in this video, from the trucks he uses, to the phone service he uses to get new business.

This is an awesome video very helpful. Lots of great ideas and tips.. I would love to ask him a couple questions. As right now I am working a stable job making over 20 per hour. But at the same time have over 40 customers. Trying to make the decision to leave my current job and do lawn care full time. Just kind of scared to be honest to make that jump. Keep these videos coming, very inspiring..

I've been doing this for 30 years. I went through the same cycle, but when I hit 12 employees, I changed my direction to be a minimalist. I now have just one, year round employee and personally make more money than I ever did with 12. I can't imagine the headaches you must have with all that overhead and 1000's of customers. Just wanted to know if you ever considered downsizing.

This guy has it figured out...I like the part where he talks about how he grew his biz and he tells the story of a guy that went out and spent 80k on a bunch of new equipment with only 6 lawns ! I see all these You Tube landscapers and they buy a new mower every season and they gotta have the new backpack blower on the market even though they already have one and I just laugh ! I have the same Mower from 8 years ago bought and paid for and it runs amazing..The new backpack blower never gets used cuz we just end up grabbing the hand helds cuz they are faster and lighter. Im gonna look into eliminating all trailers and go with a cab overs. Great interview very insightful

QUESTION: How would your call center of you quote a mulch job or clean up job without seeing the property? How would you know quantity of mulch or amount of clean up needed for example?
@LawnCareRookie4 жыл бұрын
He only has them quote easily measurable services like mowing and fertilization, which are the main calls. Anything where turf square footage is needed can be measured online. The rest he does in person, like commercial property walkthroughs with management or owner. But there are also endless customer service calls that can be handled like billing questions. Like I personally get calls and emails about resending invoices out wanting to pay their bill. Lots of wasted time on the phone when can center can just tell them what to do for you.

My question is, is the 1 mil after expenses and shit ? Or is that before expenses, and how much of it does he take home?
@LawnCareRookie3 жыл бұрын
That's top line revenue. Didn't ask what his salary was. That's really up to the owner to decide how much they want to take home and how much they want to keep reinvesting into the business.
