I was so lucky to have a contract with an age care company that needed a lawn care service. I wasn’t able to do the hard work with marketing but I take my blessing. In my first year I do 10 jobs a day for 5 days a week and get 80 per job and made 192k in my first year After hiring 10 staff and being able to pay them the highest wage in lawn care. I’m officially over 2 million net profit a year in my 2nd year. But for those who are watching this, he is absolutely right! Very smart! Another way you could be more precise if you want to order less colors get a three different colors and put 3 prices, such as 40$, 45$, 50$. Then you have a sharpie color over the other prices and circle the price you want in red sharpie. That way you can have anywhere from 40$-70$ for just 3 color fliers.

I pretty much agree with everything you said, but I dont believe the last part is gonna work where you raised prices on existing customers by 50%. Taking a lawn that is $50 and making it $75 after 6 months just because you have a website. You didn't get those with a website, so why do they care and they aren't gonna pay the premium. I do believe that is when you can start charging the new customers the premium though. Also this is gonna be working from sun up to sun down with this much work and only a 21 inch mower and you are gonna be physically exhausted. Time to invest in commercial equipment that is more productive at that point. I really like how you break everything down in this video though. Good video. Wish I would of had this info 20 years ago.

After watching this again, I find it silly to even offer landscaping until your doing 250k+ in revenue. Probably higher. If a customer wants is, sub it out to a guy who does strictly landscaping. You want your guys to be super proficient at one thing. Lawn care. Hire a guy to service the 32 clients with you, while repeating the direct marketing campaign. Now you’ve got a 100k/year business. Do it one more time, get off the truck at 150k, and focus strictly on marketing/hiring/sales. Do this and you’ll be at 250k by end of year 1…. I would recommend staying there while you accumulate more cash. Offer landscaping after doing 1 mil per year in strictly lawn care. Open your own landscaping division, to specialize in that.

Great video but flyers and door knocking looks like you’re begging for work. You’re only going to get very low end clients that fizzle out fast if you get paid at all.

Why did you choose the dog for your mascott? I would like to see you talk about that at some point if you haven't. When I think of dogs, I think of land mines all over the yard, and that turns me off. Why do you think the dog works for you, because it obviously has.

I’m all about business too. I don’t care about being a technician minded person, im profit minded. That doesn’t mean i skimp out on great services and so on…. I watch videos of other trades because im always looking to invest elsewhere and/or learn new tactics.
