In 2008 USA team had to beg a aging Kobe Bryant to come join them and save their asses because the young talent on team USA at that time were mentally weak and couldn't deal with the talent around the world. I believe 92 is when the NBA was tired if having the "best" players, but college players were not medaling. Thus, the Dream Team formed. No one was going to that team unless winning was in their mind. They delivered. In 2024, there is no guarantee of anything. Foreign players are more in the NBA. Thus, the Olympics are anyone's game. Sadly, I feel Team USA believes they show up and get a gold medal.
