The Denver Nuggets defeated the Boston Celtics, 102-100, as they snapped Boston’s franchise-best 20-0 at home start to the season. Jamal Murray (35 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists) and Nikola Jokic (34 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists) totaled 69 of the Nuggets’ 102 points. Derrick White led the Celtics with 24 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists as Jayson Tatum (22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists) and Kristaps Porzingis (21 points, 8 rebounds) added 43 points.
Denver moves to 29-14 overall and 12-4 against Eastern Conference teams, joining OKC as the only Western Conference teams to reach the 12-win mark vs Eastern Conference teams. Denver snaps Boston’s 20-0 at home (27-0 streak since last season). Boston moves to 32-10 on the year with their first home loss.

Celtics looked so off, JB’s usual makes weren’t falling, Holiday couldn’t get any good looks, Porzingis slowed down after the first quarter, Tatum wasn’t taking any good shots, and Horford’s clean looks were off. White came to play, but nobody stepped up in the fourth and this’ll be a huge weakness for the Celtics moving forward

Watching the Nuggets and Sixer’s game the other day I realized Embiid falls on the ground about 15 more times a game then Jokic. Probably why Embiid gets more foul calls, probably why he’ll be injured or not 100% when playoffs start. Also probably why he won’t play enough games to win another MVP.

@ the 2:03 mark, Jamal Murray races down and finishes a contested 3 on 1 layup in traffic. What the clip doesn't show is how Jamal got the ball to begin with. The Celtics just had 5 offensive rebounds and stripped MPJ when he grabbed a board, giving the Celtics 6 straight shots. They missed them all, and on the last shot you could see Murray say "I'm taking this into my own hands" runs under the ball and jumps higher than I've ever see him jump to secure the ball. Then he proceeds to make this insane circus finish.

Jokic is nearly a perfect offensive player, but he's missing 2 things: truly dynamic pull up game and dribble game. And Murray is amazing at those things. They have perfect chemistry in the 2man game, both can play on and off the ball, they're elite from every spot on the floor and have an answer for every type of defense. That makes them, imo, the 3rd best offensive duo behind Kobe-Shaq and KD-Steph. Kareem and Magic needed some shooting, LB and Kyrie didn't play off each other as much. Maybe there's a case for MJ and Pippen, but I'm goin J&M
