This video gave me the wildest idea for a character with schizophrenia or some other form of psychosis, with emphasis on how they interact with Genjutsu, whether it's casting it or being affected by it. Imagine someone has to cast a Genjutsu solely to let them see the world normally, with no alterations. That could be such a heartbreakingly sweet moment, with the right setup. Non Canon wise, I feel like Hikari Uchiha from the new boruto naruto game definitely should be up in the top 2 at least. Her ability Yachihoko being unable to be countered while also being able to completely wipe someone's memories and replace them is insane. Adding to it the ability to control someone else's Chakra and transfer that Chakra to another is able to kill on its own. She also had Tsukuyomi implanted into her eyes giving her essentially both of Itachi's abilities (since she had Amaterasu implanted as well.)

Unfortunately finance management is a skill that either has to be taught, or that one needs talent for. Not everyone is talented at the same things, and it isn't necessarily their fault, everyones good at different things after all. It's also notable that the education system doesn't do much in terms of teaching finance management, while everywhere you go is full of Ads that try their hardest to get you to NOT think ahead and impulse buy. I want to believe that Shisui's Kotoamatsukami, actually has a completely different, and "weaker" variation; an ability that implants "suggestions" to the target's subconscious. For example: "Don't use this specific jutsu during our battle/s" will work, but if the enemy's partner noticed that his partner doesn't use his jutsu, his partner can mention it to him, making him "aware" thus breaking down the illusion or rather, "suggestion" on him. It's also not a "one suggestion only type", it can be stacked as long as its on the same target, and the cooldown will only wear off once all of the "suggestions" have been broken. It can be applied to multiple targets, but has the risk of having someone break it, and thus putting it on cooldown, thus removing it from other targets as well. The reason why I think this might be the possible is becauze of Hiruzen's case. Maybe, even until the day he died, Hiruzen was actually under Danzo's Kotoamatsukami, one that "suggests" to Hiruzen, at least to his subconscious, that Danzo is still like the old him, his old buddy, close confidant, someone who loves the village as much as him, and only has the village's best interest first in his mind alwayz. That's why even after a lot of BS that Danzo did, Hiruzen still "believes" in his old friend. Maybe, not only Hiruzen was under this. The 2 other Elders as well, maybe even the rest of the council as well, even some if not all clan leaders. That's why Danzo, even after all of his atrocities, is not exiled or imprisoned. It's a sneaky genjutsu that instead of manipulating the senses, or memories, or taking control of other's will, it implants "suggestions" to the subconscious of its targets. Very very nasty if you ask me. I mean, the target still get to keep on going like nothing is wrong, while also being manipulated little by little. Just having one "suggestion" implanted might seem safe, especially if it is only casts to civilians, or weaker enemies, it's actually better to stack multiple suggestions to a target, as it makes it hard for the target to break all of them, thus making the ability not go on cooldown, risking the effect being removed from other targets. Also, it may be possible that since it affects the subconscious, its very hard to notice for the user, even for others that something is wrong. It also makes it hard to trace it back to the user, or even make it so that the target doesn't even realized that it was a genjutsu all along, since for them, and others, its just them making a small slip up, or being slightly airheaded, or tired, little forgetful, or a minor lapse of judgement. What happened in the summit can be explained as Danzo, instead of just implanting a "suggestion" to Mifune's subconscious, actually tried to use the strong version. Maybe due to him being a bit impatient, and actually not knowing that Kotoamatsukami's more potent genjutsu can be seen through by a Byakugan, because he was used to using it's "weaker" variation that is normally untraceable. It's just a theory though, I don't, but for me, I might use this for my fanfic. It's a very very sneaky and disgusting genjutsu. Just imagine, mid fight, after blocking a move, your opponent decided to do the same move again, but then something within you told you that its just a bluff, then you got hit by the move because you doubted yourself, then you just chucked it to just you making a small lapse of judgement, then it happens, again and again, then slowly, you realized that you are hesitating to use some of your jutsus, then blaming it to you just being tired, and doubting if they are even effective in the first place. As the fight goes on, you feel that you get tired faster while your opponents is getting stronger and stronger, then you feel overwhelmed, and just gave up. In reality, your opponent actually overwhelmed you with doubt, hesitation, and even false feeling of exhaustion, making you easy to kill, or capture. You just blamed it on you being weaker and your opponent just being a class above you. Once you got captured, you feel that your village betrayed you for letting you get captured, and you make yourself believed that nobody will ever come to save you or bail you out, thus making you feel that nothing matters anymore and just decided to give out information to your captor about your mission, your village, and other information, then you feel that your captors became your greatest hope to live life again, so you become more cooperative, and even embrace their propaganda, and other shits they told yoi, it became your truth. All of this, are just you being affected by multiple stacks Kotoamatsukami "suggestions".

@NCHammer23 As a theory, I would rate that Shisuis stronger kotoamatsukami has such a huge cooldown due to the fact that it possibly doesn't leave any traces that the persons chakra has been tampered with making it impossible to detect thus making it an absolute genjutsu. Whereas the other one Danzo gets can be broken out of due to it being a more on-the-fly kind of genjutsu with a shorter cooldown, making it not as strong. Just a theory though

I can't agree with Sasuke being that high. The only justification for it is that he could see through Infinite Tsukiyomi and because he could put Sakura in a genjutsu. That's pretty weak reasoning IMO. Being good at defending against something doesn't necessarily mean you're as good at actually using it. For that reason I think both Sasuke and Sakura are ranked too high here. That leads me to the other problem. Sasuke's is being ranked so high because he was able to put Sakura under a genjutsu, and the argument was made that Sakura can't really be put under genjutsu...but she was. Sasuke did it. The reasoning is kinda circular there. At the end of the day, we have no reason to believe that Sakura could have broken out of Itachi's genjutsu for example. Also, you forgot to mention that Itachi was able to use Izanami, which was thought to only be useable by people with both Uchiha and Senju blood. The fact that he figured out how to do with without the Senju bloodline has to give him a boost. He also knew about Izanagi, so there's a good chance he knew how to use it too.

Hi nick, I have a theory for you What if- the whole reason of itachi's Chakra sickness was his MS ability tsukuyomi?? I'll explain- 1. prior to the uchiha massacre we never heard of any wierd sickness itachi has, and its wierd considering that you probably had tsunade at that time in konoha, and if itachi had such wierd sickness hus parents would have already tried to find out more and find a cure. 2. You've established pretty well that most MS abilities has some sort of a cost, a toll if you must say, shisui's cotuamatsukame had a cooldown of years meaning the price was not being able to use it. Sasuke's amaterasu had a toll on his and itachi's vision. What if tsukuyomi, which is a minor version of the greatest genjutsu of all- eternal tsukuyomi, had an equal version of a cost/toll. What if itachi's ability of tsukuyomi is actually to extend the time for his enemy but on the expense of his own lifetime. So the is extended for the enemy but itachi do live those days as

I absolutley love me some Jiraiya! But he's horrible at genjutsu. He states it himself. Ma and Pa's genjutsu is one of the strongest in the show for sure. Not the strongest but definatley up there. However they both have to be perfectly in sync and have to hold still. I would add it to the list or at least a honorable mention.. but the video is the strongest genjutsu users so I kinda see why its not there

If it is a list of the strongest genjutsu users I think that a person who can use a deadly genjutsu should be included. Regardless of how adept at the use of that jutsu they are.

I think both statements about Kotoamatsukami’s cooldown are true. It’s implied at least based off context clues there are two versions of Kotoamatsukami with each eye doing something different but having the same name like Kamui. The version of Kotoamatsukami, Danzo had a much shorter cooldown than the one used by Itachi however as a trade off for that shorter cooldown the target can break out if they’re made self aware they are under Genjutsu. The version of Kotoamatsukami used by Itachi had a much longer cooldown however the orders given must be followed without fail even if the person is self aware they’re under Genjutsu this is shown when Edo Itachi is hit by Kotoamatsukami. Even though he knew he was under Genjutsu he couldn’t resist the orders given to him, and the level of control exerted on him was so great when confronted by Sasuke he couldn’t even stop to resolve their relationship. Moving on Sasuke is by far the strongest Genjutsu user in Naruto his Rinnegan is capable of repelling the Infinite Tsukiyomi something Naruto who is a pseudo perfect Jinchuuriki of the Ten Tails, he put Sakura who is highly resistant to Genjutsu in one, put all Nine Bijuu in a Genjutsu with a single glance without making direct eye contact with most of them, and put two highly Genjutsu resistant fighters under subtle Genjutsu those being Danzo/Deidara. The databooks also say Sasuke has the ultimate Genjutsu, and is the strongest Genjutsu practitioner. (Jiraiya/Naruto don’t count because they themselves don’t use Genjutsu admitting they suck at it.)

I think Eida should be in there, because she quite literally has a god level genjutsu that can only be countered by, hypothetical speaking, having god dna or being in love with someone who does. Maybe. It affected Sauske who is in the #3 spot until he encountered his daughter who loves the main target of said genjutsu. We dont know how it affected Sakura yet. But, it does show Eida was programmed and designed with a proclivity for her specific genjutsu. Even if she doesn't exactly know how to control it yet.

Tell me if this is true In your opinion Technically speaking sasuke did not kill itachi his disease finally killed him & he got to spend his final hour see how much his little brother has grown & pass on the mangekyo Sharigan plus it’s abilities to his little brother he was on a mission remember itachi was depressed & wanted to die for what he did to his clan & only lived to protect his little brother & help him grow he watch sasuke grow up from a distance while constantly watching over his own shoulder for leaf ninja that may want to kill him akatsuki members trying to kill him, orochimaru being an example & kisame literally being next to him at all time to kill itachi a perfect jinchuriki is what it would take to kill this man ! On top of all of this, the man is heart broken he wants to be with the love of his life izumi who he killed himself along with his parents who he adored this man did not have anything left for him in life other than his mission to make sure sasuke continued the Uchiha bloodline as he felt he didn’t deserve it. Kinda crazy because I always think that who was gonna stop itachi from saving Izumi & having a life with her continuing his bloodline with pure uchiha blood not tainting it with weak genetics sasuke got with Sakura hence we get sarada who we all know her only purpose is to breed with boruto to recreate pure otsutsuki genetics combining huga, senju, & uchiha bloodlines you include the fact that they’ve added uzumaki & haruno bloodline which the next generation of Naruto will ultimately be the strongest we’ve ever seen & the renegan is for sure without a doubt going to be awaken by this child.
