What's great about that final scene is that there are no words spoken. There is nothing that could be said, that would express what Gibbs is feeling. He yearn to not e in pain anymore. The essence of Gibbs' character is that he has never accepted his family's death. He slept on the couch not just because he couldn't sleep in his and his wife's bed, he slept there because his family lived upstairs. I honestly believe he has never been in Kelly's room since she died. When he does, that's when he accepts it. But him sleeping in the bed is the first step

I have never had a TV series moment that effected me like this one! The speech at the beginning talking about what we all need to do, done so effectively to just the best version of Halleluiah I believe I have heard. Then to end with Gibbs laying back down on the bed he hasn't laid on since his wife died. Yes, I cried.

I like it like that especially when at the first of the song, the soldier talks about his own conflicts. It is written in the best way but I think only people who have had the same experience would appreciate that. The other parts, I agree better not be there. In total, it is wonderful. God bless all, especially people who serve their country with all they have. God bless America.

It's the song and, also, this episode deals with healing. I know that it's fictional, but it's episode's like this that contribute to my own healing. The sense of family, because I was rejected by my family from birth, and onward as I got older, with the exception of my maternal grandparents. The song is very beautiful.

Today's my 1st girlfriend's death anniversary. She died of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I held her in my arms as she painfully breathed out her last words.. "Give up one me.." She looked me in the eyes and held my hand as tight as the first day we held hands. It was as if she put all her energy left into that squeeze. She inhaled shakily, "Go find someone who isn't as sick as me." Then those tiny beeps her line makes, tiny skips of hope.. left with her. It was deafening. The flatline was scary, awful, grotesque and just horrific for me. I was mad at God. For several years or so I succumbed to drugs, alcohol and sex at ages 14 through 18. I went into rehab and got myself fixed. When I saw this episode, that song.. It made me feel all of those emotions again. And when this episode played as a re-run I just dropped down and started crying. It's so hard to lose someone. I'm 22 now and I'm going back to God. Hallelujah indeed.

I absolutely love this show! This is one of my all time favorite episodes. Every time I watch it it brings me to tears. From when Gibbs meets with Gunnery Sgt. Aaron Davis and you hear the music softly playing in the back ground sets the scene. Then to the shot where you see the band playing & the camera moves in close on his daughter. Bishop telling McGee what true love is to when Dinozzo, Ducky, Vance & Palmer riding off at night on their motorcycles & then finally to Gibbs sitting on his sofa, the camera moving in slowly and finally going into his bedroom to lay on the bed. All very emotional.

I suddenly lost my wife of 43 years about a year ago who died right in front of me while on a trip for our birthdays. The last 5 minutes of this show were an epiphany for me, giving me a clear path out of my constant grief. It also provided the best version of Hallelujah that I have ever heard and have spent many hours looking for it. Hopefully someone will provide a reference to the artists or if it was done special for the episode, will release it as a track on a digital media source. It was absolutely incredible. Thank you for providing the pathway to my future. in such a meaningful way. I only wish my wife was alive to see it as well.
