Sorry Colonel KC, I just found your KZbin Post! I was loving your talk and loving your service as you spoke to the AF Academy! You in 20 20 are a breath of fresh air from the officers I saw in the 1970'S.

Only 3k views for a real story about human endurance and bravery!! Yet some guy making animal sounds gets 16M views. Thank you Col. Kim Campbell - it was an honour to hear your story. I played it to my kids and they loved it. Thank you - love and best wishes.

74K - progress. Still a fantastic talk. And risky shot of the audience - I wonder - many empty seats ??? Doesn't matter now. The goods were delivered, and continue to, for those willing to be open.

It physically hurts that the auditorium appears to be more than half empty. What an inspiring human being, and clearly an experienced and excellent leader.

What an amazing public speaker. Speaking without notes and without missing a beat. Impressive. A totally different skill set to being a pilot. She’s a credit to the Air Force and this country. Thank you for your service and continued service.

Mrs. Campbell is tough as nails, she landed an almost totaled from fighter jet, saving her life and a 100 million dollars jet. Much love and respect.
@153haring9 ай бұрын
What makes her landing even more impressive is that it wasn't a 100 million dollar jet but a 60 million dollar bucket of spare parts. The A-10 was totaled. (I pulled the 60 million dollar figure out of the air.)

This pilot is inspirational for all wannabee future pilots and military leaders. Thanks, Col. KC for your service. From an old Cold War veteran. Per Ardua ad Astra.

One of, if not the, best example of what it takes to be a good leader. Trust, vulnerability, selflessness and personal accountability (competence is a given). I especially appreciate the new concept (for me) that you introduced "fail forward". Colonel Campbell, thank you for your message and, most importantly, thank you for your service to our country.
@SMichaelDeHart Жыл бұрын
Thank you Col. Campbell for your sacrifice and service to our country. My father was a Combat Veteran and Staff Sergeant with the US Army Air Force in the South Pacific Campaign and was a Flightline Engineer and Mechanic on the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt...the A10's predecessor. It was a tough bird as well.

I've been in Law Enforcement for 24 years... I understand that no day goes "as planned." - it never does... we are paid to help others because it is what we're designed to do - to help others go home. Your survival is due to YOU!...and your flight lead... your airplane, amazing as it is, is completely secondary. I wish I could say the same for me in my law enforcement career - my (many) Ford Crown Victoria's have helped me (yep, they were dump-trucks) get through a LOT of ugly situations. Kim, I love you and your sacrifice! You're bad-ass!

Thank you Col Campbell, so very much for your service! In these entropic times that we live in, you are a shining star of what teams and leaders are capable of when guided by trust, credibility, and humility. My father served in World War II as a B 24 bombardier in the Pacific theater. My brother, AFA 72, retired as a USAF Col. serving the United States Air National Guard in Washington DC as his final assignment. My niece and other Family members also served. Your exemplary courage and integrity is a hallmark of our service men and women! Thank you again, and I wish you all the blessings God bestows upon you and your family.

Colonel Campbell, I listened and felt your words, love, passion & patriotism and got my eyes washed out well. I'm an old mushy ex Air Force Flight Nurse (1970-71). I never had to be in situations as you have, but I get it. Thank you for being there, always, for helping me be free also.

Exceptional conduct. I worked in Tucson on the AGM-65 while Hughes Aircraft was still in the picture. I’ll never forget having to evacuate the FACO building for the Maverick when a ruthless monsoon blew in. Not a stones throw from Davis Monthan. Scariest moment of my life was putting ground clips on an AGM-65D when lighting struct just outside the bay door. It was around 1984. Thank all the service folks and their bravery 🇺🇸

I was in the British RAF. In the 1970's during the cold war...in Germany. I was stationed at RAF Wildenwrath that is now history. Of course we had the Harrier..VTOL. But we also had two Vulcan bombers loaded with nuclear weapons kept on permanent standby in 'Q'.... the place where we were on a constant 4 minute warning. We sat around fully geared up and ready to go. They were very tense years indeed. What made it for us was the calabre of our leaders. The Wing Commanders and Sqd. Leaders were excellent. Most of us did initial training at RAF Cranwell. A fine institution. A lot of what you said was practiced. Working in the team. Work outside the box. Being able to make a decision. I think that was a fundamental lesson I learned. Be well traine. Understand the scenarios and be able to make a decision without letting your mind or natural reactions cloud your thinking. Very impressed with all your comments. 😊😊😊😊😊

Way back when, I was ISG of an Army MP Company who deployed to Somalia to be in Direct Support of the 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade in Somalia, when we arrived in Mogadishu, I had 38 Female Soldiers to include my Commander. Most folks do not know that at that time the ONLY females in DOD who actually deployed into Ground Combat where US Army MPs. The Marines where amazed to see a female face in the turret, behind that MK-19 40 MM Grenade Launcher, actually keep them protected from sniper fire….Direct Support of Combat Forces is what changed the US Army MP Corps into a Combat Arm Unit instead of Combat Support!!!!
