Still the greatest comic book artist IMO. I grew up wanting to draw superheroes like him.

Oh MAN is he a master. Every line he puts down in this is just perfect.

I don't think he was struggling as much as he was being careful. Clearly he wanted the drawing to look refined and clean.

Masterful. Beautiful work from Neal...

I've never in my life seen someone get that much line variation out of a PITT brush. I've had a few of the things and they've been useless in my hands, inferior to Zebra IMO. Yet here is Neal making that thing his BITCH. I need to practice more.

Neal, you've always been my favorite comic book/fantasy artist. Absolutely love the work you've done in comics & Conan magazines. I'm saving some shekels to buy some of your original art because to me, it's worth the investment.

Have been carefully drawn only this book signing, I saw for the first time. And it looks very sharp strokes. Also good was instantly followed by the finger of a moment "Bibitta" line the base of the neck of the cloak. Finally, we became concerned about disruption to dimensional worlds from the brush. This Comment is English... :p and Neal Adams is Very Cool!!!

Does anyone know what kind of marker he is using?
@camiam32111 жыл бұрын
oh wait, nevermind, i thought you were referring to earlier in the clip. the technique he's using makes a sort of drybrush effect, creates a kind of flagging on the line that adds some character

Is that a copic marker?
@camiam32111 жыл бұрын
he's probably getting rid of some eraser shavings or excess graphite on the page. that could ruin a line he's laying down by interrupting the stroke or causing a smear.

Great artist, but not very fan friendly. He will not sign Comics. Only his overpriced art books he sells at his table. Artists with this many restrictions should realize, it was DC or Marvel that helped them get noticed in a field that struggled daily, instead of pissing in the faces of fans who just want a memorable experience with someone they’ve admired. Every artist should be as kind and as approachable as George Perez.
