My most highly anticipated omni. Still a relative newcomer who just started collecting last year but seeing how sought after this one was, once it became available to pre-order I just had to secure my copy. I already took the initiative and purchased UXM Vol 3 last year during Black Friday so now once I get my hands on Vol 2 I can just continue reading to the next one once I'm done. So excited to read all these stories for the first time. I'll be sure to come back to this video once I'm finished reading.

Man I pre-ordered this reprint so fast last week. Omar's love for Claremont's run got me to check out comics as a whole. Owning Mutant Massacre Prelude with the DM cover and Mutant Massacre already... seriously considering out of market for the rest of the UXM unfortunately. Claremont's run should definitely be evergreen.

Happy for those that have missed out on this omni. Think this was the 4th omni I picked up after Xforce, Jim Lee volume 1 and uncanny volume 1 😁 can't wait for the overview of extinction agenda as it's the last HC I need to get my Xmen from uncanny volume 1 up until Jim Lee volume 2 😁 then I need bishops crossing because I have xcutioners song 😆

Who knows, maybe next reprint they'll include an "original font" DM Variant for people who want to fill their gaps but keep their shelves consistent as well. I'm sure there's a market, albeit limited. And with no gutter loss (ie: printed somewhere far away from IMAK).

I have these stories on my to read pile. Never read any of them barring the Days of Future past storyline. I am doing a chronological readthrough and have Epic 4, Second Genesis and Proteus to get through first. I think the spine on the video looks better than the older one. :-)

I have been doing the same. I switched to Omnis with volume 3 and am now reading the Mutant Massacre prelude. Lots of these details Omar shares are of importance in later issues. I had forgotten some so a special thanks to Omar for reminding me.

I can never get over that beautiful Michael Golden artwork in Avengers Annual #10 under that god-awful cover! For such a significant book it surely has one of the most underwhelming covers of all time.

X-men, Spiderman, and FF should all never go out of print. People love and new readers discover these books all the time. Why create an overpriced secondary market needlessly?

I agree. I was a newbie 3yrs ago and all i wanted was Amazing Spiderman. I paid a bit for vol 1 and 2 and later bought an extra copy of the reprint

Damn. So I just found the Phoenix Omnibus at an Ollie's for $25. It has Phoenix's origins in XM #97-108 and then Proteus through the DPS. Tough call which version to own.

Why is 142 the 'First' Uncanny X-Men when the Cover and Splash page was labeled "Uncanny X-Men" since issue #114?!? I'm sure it's a TM of CR distinction.... After 40 years, I only just noticed it.
