Wonderful lesson! Terrific cues, easy to follow directions, slow pace. I feel terrific after this practice. I will share this routine with my students. . I love the relaxed way you teach. Thanks for sharing this video with all of us.

I have suffered with lower back injuries for 20+ years that I usually manage with chiropractic care, and luckily haven’t had many problems in recent years, but I lifted something especially heavy and put myself out of alignment this weekend. These movements have been a lifesaver, I feel blessed to have found this, thank you 🙏🏼

I happened to hear a song on Pandora dealing with the times: covid, the shutdown & all, called When Life is Good Again. The end of the song was "and it will be good again" , so an inspiring

+Feldenkrais with Alfons Thanks for your feedback. This is a great intro/ first lesson and I'm going to be using the video to help clients remember some of the movements for home practice. Even though they are not complete lessons my intention is that they act as reminders, while giving people a 'feel' for the quality of movement that is our intention in Feldenkrais.

Thank you for this! I'm fairly new to Feldenkrais but a PT friend recommended your video. Have a badly frozen shoulder. Am trying this along with the Freeing Neck and Shoulder. Are these appropriate for frozen shoulder? If I can't get quite into the right position, is it Ok to do the movements as closely as possible? For instance in Freeing Neck & Shoulder exercise, I can't get arm to 90 degree angle. And in this exercise I can't comfortable get palms together. Thanks so much!

Hi Taproot Healing. I'm sorry for my extremely slow reply! Somehow my notifications got turned off and I didn't realise. How is your shoulder now? If you can't do the movements exactly as on the video it doesn't matter. You just do the closest you can manage comfortably. You can also use your imagination. You will know what it should feel like at 90 degrees by doing the movements with your unaffected shoulder. This can help you change your brain and reliever the pain and stiffness on the 'frozen shoulder' side. Hi Jodie, I just discovered Feldenkrais through your videos and absolutely adore it! I am continuing to practice it each day; do the effects compound over time like exercise? I find I revert pretty quickly in the neck and shoulders, especially. Thank you for making this available! This lazy archer video is my absolute favourite so far!

So delighted to hear Jessica. At first the changes are temporary but it's great because you brought them about yourself and you can do it again! Gradually you won incorporate the changes so that they become a part of your normal movement patterns. Hi there The number of repetitions isn't important, just until you feel that you've found a comfortable and easy style. What's more important is to reduce effort and focus your attention on enjoying the sensations throughout your whole body 🌼

i have so much tension in my upper back shoulders, chest , i would hope that videos would show both sides or part two, its hard to please everyone and yourself , but, i am trying to figure what movements would help me most at this time and it seems to make it difficult for me,,adding more stress, so

Question for ya. As we go from side lying to back lying, obviously our need for head support is very different. Is it bad that for those moments that we are on our back, we're still on our "higher" head support?? I hate having my neck in that position. But what would be the best "head" support for these in betweeny positions? HOPe it makes sense!

Perfect sense. I find the best is a folded blanket or a couple of towels half way between the height you need on your side and the most comfortable height on your back. Make it nice and wide so you don't roll off it.

Hi Andrea, I would recommend the Effortless Posture Series. I'll post a link. While doing the movements focus on softening and widening your lips and tongue. This really helps the SCM to let go. Also make sure to support your head with a folded towel, especially if your tend towards a forward head posture when you're upright

Just discovered your videos after a friend mentioned going to a Feldenkrais therapist. I have had thoracic pain for nearly 10 years and am finding your videos helpful so am so appreciative that you have made them available. Pain limits my ability to work but if I don't work I can't afford the therapy and pain relief that enables me to work or take care of my family ☹️ I have been reading about the Alexander technique and would like to know more about Feldenkrais as I think they seem complementary. Could you recommend any books? Even one you may have written?
