The actual drummer on the record, I believe, is Hannes Grossman. Amazing drummer who has done many great albums since. fyi. they were a great band and left everyone waiting for the next album since this was recorded in the early 2000s. Great to see more people digging in to them

Yeah! I never realized it myself, but Marco Minnemann has played for a while with Necrophagist. He's one of the most famous and skilled german drummers and I normally I wouldn't associate him with technical death metal, but rather jazz and fusion. You can check his stuff out here on KZbin, if you haven't already.

That's actually my way to "listen to" death metal growling vocals. To treat them just as background music track instead of trying to figure out what is being sung. That's also the reason why I don't care about "ideology" that certain bands try to present occasionally. I just don't care - it's just additional music track.

Velda Fayz both albums were actually recorded with a drum machine. live shows were originally played by Marco minnemann and hanes grossman. i can't remember who was first. romain is there current drummer.

david theune Hannes joined immediately after Epitaph and played it live for 4 years then Marco joined for one year. After he left, Romain joined and ostensibly is still their drummer, assuming they're still together

This is the good part of KZbin. I love folk, americana, post-rock, ambient, etc. but I love me some tech-death. Necrophagist was easily one of the best shows I've ever attended. They headlined with Origin, Dying Fetus, Decrepit Birth, Beneath the Massacre, Winds of Plague, and Darkest Hour. Life is amazing sometimes.

I highly recommend watching either of the two vocal diaries by the band Infant Annihilator. You made a Bankrupt Creativity on one of their songs a few months back. It's a good look into the process of doing vocals like these and on top of that, you can hear the vocals and be left in awe, just wondering how the hell he's able to do what he just did. I'm not asking for you to make a video on it, just check them out off camera, I think you'll enjoy them.
