Seems like a great amp with very few downsides. Decent price, good build quality, beats it’s rated power on the test bench, extra features that a lot of 4 channel amps don’t have and it looks pretty clean too. I was huge into car audio back in the 90s but kinda fell out of it over time. But I recently found your channel and it’s got me excited about car audio again and I’m definitely thinking D4S amps may be the way to go for my build. Another great video Big D

The ratings seem fairly close to me, they are all under 100$ and come with clip lights on amp and remote potentiometer. Don't have one that does over 900rms that I see but for 100$ 900rms with q clip light could be awesome

Honestly I’d love this, go great with my 3 psi platform 2s on a sfb 8k, clamped 7819 Watts at 15v, out of that amp, wired to 1.33, rising too 1.9 ohm box 📦 tuned too 29 hrz, metered a 152.6, now I built a wall, and before I even sealed it too the b-piller, I metered a 155.8 db on stock alt, at 14v, I pulled a dummy move and fried my 300 amp luckily my 75ah c-max was fine, now that I’m sealed I definitely gained, and am in need of, mids and highs 🤦‍♂️

When said idk why you would run these for subs then you did the numbers. Hell I see why now front 2 at 2 ohms would run most any highs and then leave 3 and 4 for some small subs in a daily. I did not get the kicker CS6 by 9s I sent those back and got DS-18 ZT69s and they suck no mid base whatsoever only mid and highs so now I'm ordering the Memphis street reference pros and I have Memphis PR's in the dash the three and a halfs and they run off the deck so now I'm pushing the four DS-18s with a SKAR 75.4 amp and it sounds better but I think there was something wrong with the amp altogether from the get-go it always sounded fuzzy and then went out in two days so I think I just got a bad amp

I'm running 4 Skar neos on it now with 4 super tweets on a Kenwood 600 watt marine amp thats loud and clean as well and Im gonna run 8 Skar 6.5 neos all together when i get the second Q4-150. I have one question why there is difference between the amperes rating when you dyno test & when you test efficiency..? In this video the amperes it took is 105 but when you tested the efficiency the amperes rating is 98.5 at same power output..! I am missing something..?

I have seen this difference in all your videos..! Why the amperes are less when you check efficiency..? What i do is 105 x 14.32 = 1503.6 thats the input power and the power output is 336 x 4 = 1344 i.e. 1503.6/100 x 89.5 = 1345.72 watts that means efficiency is 89.5%..! Correct me where i am wrong..!

Very powerful amp. Have it running 4 deaf bonce 6.5 Arnolds in my tahoe build and they will make your ears bleed. Love that you can turn the crossovers off and let the dsp control everything

Lot's of power but it's still a class D amp, the output inductor's can only "clean up" class D noise just so much, not ideal for a "full range" amp. I'll stick with class AB amps for sound quality. Regardless of my opinion a great review as always!

Can the low and high pass filters be turned on together to create a bandpass? So you can run mids from say 100hz-10khz? I’m diggin these JP amps so far. They need a big mono block. Something at least 8 k. That would complete the line.

@ 7:21 . Highly Underrated amps like this are (my perspective) marketing strategy towards high quality. The other end of the spectrum is the anti-under rating strategy which is separate from over rating. Anti-under rating is meant as deception by placing 8 billion watts MAXIMUM OUTPUT to be seen on every surface , which makes it obvious to people that have minimal knowledge about electricity in audio . So in short all amp dyno utubers are like the batman of car audio . Which places u in the car audio justice system as a prosecuting, whistling blowing , iron 👊ed hero . Thanks

I have a question, not really new to this but it’s been 20 odd years... ok, when using a mono amp with two speaker outputs will you get a final 1ohm load with 2 4ohm subs wired to 2 ohms individually if you connect them to separate speaker outputs? Can we see a run at the 1khz test tone on midrange/highs amps? Is the power output higher or lower at 1khz? You're saying "not sure why you'd use this amp for sub level" but you're testing at 40hz all the time. Can you do both? I love your channel! Definitely not hating. :)
