Also leveling is very easy due to the on going world buff. If you like leveling, you can go to chromie (next to Nozdormu) and go prestige! Resets you to level 1 and let’s you re-level and get some rewards once you hit max level. You still keep your old gear, money and can still mount too.

If you download the Ascension Launcher, it does have a "Addons & Mods" section that includes mods specifically made for Ascension. The server runs on the 7.3.5 patch (WoTLK), so hypothetically any addon made for this specific patch cycle could work on the server as well! I'd recommend using the addons that were specifically made for Ascension, so you don't have any issues with them being compatible with the game.

here's a question, i'm a new player and i've overwhelmed by so much choice as to how i want to build my character. what's good? spell casting, titan, range, etc. I just don't know what is needed for end game content. i know you must have a tough hide when being out there and i really don't. i want to try to maximize my dps while not doing much but that takes time to theory-craft and coming up with idea. since i'm new i don't got anyone to ask. i could wait until i find a guild that is welcoming to take care of me but that could be forever. i could go to their discord but that could be a double edged sword. i ultimately want to have fun and want to put in the work but don't want to get frustrated if i wind up backed into a corner. any insight on how things work is appreciated.

It really depends on what “Endgame” content you’re looking to do, pve vs pvp the builds will differ a lot. Generally speaking, especially if you’re playing on Al’ar you may have to prestige a few times before you’re comfortable with your builds performance. On the PVE side, most builds can be viable to get into raids on normal or heroic, as long as you can hit a certain level of dps. I’d recommend following a guide on KZbin for a specific build, or understanding that theory-crafting a build may end up with disappointing results the first couple times.

As a new player I'm mostly interested on how to get into raids and high M+ keys, is there a discord channel or group channel (similar to LFG) you can join? I'm playing on Mal'ganis Horde and want to push some higher content but haven't been able to find pugs

I’d HIGHLY recommend finding a good guild and joining the Ascension Discord server. The League 3 server does not require atunement, so as long as you have a group to take you, you’re all set. Generally I think around 65 ilvl and 3k dps is expected for that content. The ascension discord does have a LFG channel.

@@laurensj.s.8922 Have you been checking in the World chat as well? I normally see 4/5 groups advising for mythic plus spots whenever I'm on. You're definitely doing good DPS, so I don't think that'd be an issue at all. Either way, best of luck finding a guild! I'm currently in Ascended which is extremely active, but I'm not sure if they have a version on Horde side.

You do have to deal with certain builds not being viable depending on the dungeon, but in lower difficulties it’s not an issue

I definitely prefer Al’ar, but some people find it frustrating because they can’t pick what spells/abilities you get. So if you’re going for a certain build that you want to MAKE SURE you get, I’d say to roll Area 52. Melee probably has more legendary enchants you can play around with, but hunter style dps are super valuable for mobility. I’d recommend picking a specific enchant and trying to work around that 👍

Hello there im an wow retail refugee and project ascension seems amazing to me. Help me out with the server pick, im between alar and area 52. My main objective is pvp but time flies i cant spent in daily basis 8+ hours like back in the day. Now with kids and work i got limited 2 hours per day to spent and that means i will take my time, my concern is from what i"ve been told alar is seasonal and not permanent and after the season ends your character going back to area 52, how long more give and take the s7 will last? im kinda confused with the server pick any reply will be appreciate it

Season 7 is expected to last a while because they’ve only released karazhan and Gruul so far. They normally don’t do any kind of resets until all the raids have been released. That being said, I’d probably recommend Area 52 if you have time constraints because you can pick your abilities. If you get unlucky on Al’ar, you can spend a LOT of time just trying to roll the abilities you need. TL;DR server shouldn’t reset soon, Area 52 may be better for your situation

If you’re questing, mobs and quest rewards should give you plenty. If you’re doing dungeons or battlegrounds they’ll give you bags of loot after each completed instance! Probably the easiest way I’m aware of

What should I be focused on as a brand new player since you don't have access to mystic enchants. It seems really difficult just starting out trying to build up resources and enchants.

Focus on getting the abilities that will make whatever mystic enchant you’re going for work. That being said, if you don’t actually get your mystic enchant until you hit max level, that’s no problem! Just keep in mind that your damage may be a little low until you get the enchant. Setting Small goals for constant progress may help 👍

I've started getting Ad's for this game which I never heard of. I used to be a big WoW player so this intrigues me. So you pick a server Free/Draft, then its got all of the WoW content from vanilla and BC. So is gearing the same within dungeons/raids and more importantly do people actually play this game. I dont know why i never heard of it

Gearing is pretty much the same and it has a good chunk of players. Players generally come and goes as much stuff comes out. I had pretty much the same initial exposure with it. If you try it and have any additional questions let me know!

You should be able to! I’d recommend talking to nozdormu to see if he offers you a reset orb. In all fairness, I haven’t tried leveling up as a noncustom class yet, so this may work differently.

The hero’s architect has some leveling guides on it! Tanks are always helpful and starting out with a sword and shield build is an easy way to get into tanking. I made a video going over the tanking build that I enjoy if that helps!

When you’re in game, press ESC and open Interface, go to the “Action bars” setting and enable the top four buttons. (Bottom left and bottom right are the ones you specifically need to enable to add abilities above the bar)

This server is completely free and you do NOT need WoW or a WoW subscription to play. As I mentioned in the video, certain tools like the book which allows you to train abilities is an item you have to pay for, but, all of the gameplay features are free.

When I downloaded the launcher it only required an account on the website to join. No credit card/billing info is needed unless you purchase something on the shop. It can take quite awhile to install depending on your internet speed. My download took several hours with slow internet.

I’ve been on and off with ascension for about 3/4 years I think? I’m not sure how long it’s been around before that. Blizzard have only shut down a classic server, and this before they released their own classic server. The ascension website also claims that the server is completely legal 👍

It’s VERY easy to make a build. It does get complicated to make a build that hits certain levels (like a certain DPS amount). Though, you have a ton of options of builds to mimic if that seems daunting

have to say your need to know beginners guide was of no help since its basically the same as any other video about this sever guide or not. ( still the better one out of them all i have seen and newest so im posting on here) and i do think iv seen them all since i been looking for days for answers and getting no wear. my biggest questions are around the leveling scaling this pserver does specially when doing group dungeons. at first i thought it would be pointless to do a rdf while running resolute mode specially as a tank because halve way into a run the rest of the group would have gained so many levels making you useless compared to the rest of the group slowing things down since any video iv seen shows people leveling with each pull and upgrading there spells i did join one run and the second lowest level was still pretty low the rest of the group but still over 2 times my level, and we just flew the stuff i dont think i got halve the use out of my blizzard ( what i dont know was it because of the higher levels in the group some being 3 times my level which those off the balance or was it just easy since it always get easier with each new expansion?) . of course my dps sucked compered to the rest of the group and i would like to think it is because the dps meter i got from there site doesnt do well to compare with the level scaling or was i that bad, like am i going to have to wait to hit max level and run with others also max level to find out if i was being helpful or being carried. and if i was being carried if i would have went in as a healer would it been a wipe fest? (which due to the luck of the draw my toon was more of a healer than anything else but still had some nice aoe to do alright) this is still an mmo, so why isnt there much info out there on this sever (which has been out for years at least 4 and clearly has a ton more players than any other psever iv seen) about playing with others when it has a major change in its play style due to its level scaling. i have only seen 1 mmo that did any leveling scaling and it scaled you down to the level of content you were in and not the content to your level for you and to your group member for him/her as well at the same time. i have asked in chats and basically all i got for an answer been "it just works" which thanks to tod means it doesnt work like it seems to be for me to be a tank or healer the 2 choices i injoy i would have to level up many times to get geared up an wh i got a few questions as a newb to this sever i cant find answers for but this level scaling is the biggest one that is causing to leave the sever left dont to mention the training books to upgrade your spells there is a difference for what what the sever puts out to what players do and or you can get

I hate this server with a passion.... everyone builds a caster/healer or huntard/healer and everyone and I mean everyone uses all the fears literally all of them... pvp is pointless because it feels like 2 raid party's going against each other where no one dies making pvp not fun

WoW Season of Discoveries is basically stealing PA ideas and features... I just saw ForceGaming soying out about it... This is just sad that Blizz needs to stoop down to stealing from Fanmade mods/game modes.
