What an absolutely great idea! We are going on the train for several hours in September and I'm taking my tatting. This will keep everything in one small space. Wish you had newer videos because you are a great teacher for a noob like me.

I used a zippered money pouch bank bag that you get in the office supply section at the store. It was a little big bigger than a pencil pouch, but similar concept. I loved it because everything was contained in a small grab & go bag. Kept things clean too.

Love your videos and other sites. I tried tatting with a shuttle and it was a total no go. Went to needle tatting and sort of got it but was really discouraged. Set it all aside for years. Just found your videos. NOW I GET IT! Have yet to dig out the needles, but did buy white and red thread to do your cross pattern as a gift for a friend. Want do some edging for some clothing project that have been waiting for some kind of decoration (costumes for reinactment events) for myself and others. Keep up the good teaching!

Oh, forgot to add, I do many other crafts and have a really large quilted bag to take a few things along on trips. Each craft has an indifidual bag in which I use snack size zip locks to organize tools and work. All the hints from you and the comments help.

I've discovered that the metal tubes that blinc eyeliner pencil comes in makes a wonderful needle holder. I also would add a needle threader to the kit, can't tat without one!

Maybe you could also add a needle threader to the kit. I use a hard over sized eyeglass case for my kit and glued a small magnetic strip on the lid to hold a needle if I have a work in progress.

i keep my needles in the longer Mini M&Ms plastic dispenser tube. they come in different colors during holidays

I just tried searching the issue on Google and youtube, sounds like there have been issues with that happening to subscribes randomly. You may need to try going to my rustikate channel page and hitting the notification bell and selecting or reselecting "all." If that doesn't work, then you may need to unsubscribe and then resubscribe and then click notification and select "all." Hope that works! You can always find me again by going to "rustikate" on youtube or Facebook or googling rustikate.com :) Hope that helps!

I have another suggestion for the travel kit. Like most women, I buy a purse and inside the bag is a little travel make up bag. Instead of throwing them away (after about 50 you don’t need anymore 😂)
