If i'm not mistaken but page 106 on ncert says that main enzyme for replication is known as DNA dependent DNA polymerase...

A slight confusion i hv... As far as I read... Topoisomerase release tension yes but it actually release the tension by releasing supercoiling occurs due to open helix of DNA while to stop Reformation of base pairing SSBs single stranded binding proteins are responsible...

Hello mam I have one query that is I used to read the book where it mentioned that there are 10 subunits of DNA polymerase lll . And the units which u told us present as one subunit , which are really two in numbers ???????

mam is saying that polymerase lll has alpha and epsilon subunits.. but I have studied that alpha,beta gama , Delta & epsilon r the DNA polymerase found in eukaryotes ..and DNA polymerase l,ll,lll r present in prokaryotes.. which one is correct????

Arshi Naaz yes arshi maam is correct. DNA polymerase has 5 units in eukaryotes while in prokaryotes DNA polymerase 1,2 ,3 are there. DNA polymerase 1 is not present in eukaryotes.

as the direction of replication can only be 5 to 3 so how can a single DNA polymerase can help replication on both strands simultaneously​
