The thing about that is that they aren't putting themselves in her position. A similar scenario would be if somebody you loved like a family member pulled a knife on you and put it up to your throat and said they're gonna kill you. Then later on a significant other said something that reminds you of that. You would buckle out of the trauma alone. That's what trauma does to you. I remember when I was in a bad car wreck (somebody cut me off and my car flipped they said around 6 times and something nearly cut my spinal cord) and I couldn't drive for about 3 months or so after I healed up cause every time I went to get in just a car in general I would start having panic attacks because I'd remember the wreck. People that haven't had a traumatic experience just can't understand what it's like

I'm so glad you understand that moment better than some other reactors. When Ichigo saw Orihime was scared of him he started to waver. Then she shouted out her true fillings then he felt he could go all out. If his friends and family fear him it seems to hold him back. And it's already shown that Ichigo had more power than Grimmjow. Ulquiorra already pointed this out and his inner hollow is apart of him.

And there are still a few more fights to come) Turn Back the Pendulum - No spoilers, but this is a flashback arc that is very important! (This is usually considered its own arc) Fake Karakura - No spoilers, but this is when things get real intense; you'll definitely have a field day of fights with this one Deicide - The last couple of episodes of the whole arc (I'd say about 10-ish?) and the climatic end. Only one way to find out to know what happens :) I'm pretty sure you might be ahead now and know what happens but thought this could help sort of differentiate the huge arc! Ichigo's mask limits aren't really a thing anymore. As we've seen multiple times, he only gets stronger when he gets close to death, and his prior 11 second limit will never come up again. Also, Panthera translates to panther, which is the animal that Grimmjow's hollow form is based on.

I don't know why people give Orihime so much shit for how she acted during this fight. She was obsurdly traumatized when she saw her brother as a hollow and he tried to kill her. The brother she loved more than anything and he had a mask just like ichigo did. So yeah she knows it's him underneath that but what happened to her brother really messed her up. So it's understandable why she reacted the way she did. Cause after all her brother attacked and almost killed her. So she's just worried that the person she loves is gonna do the same thing

Ichigo's whole thing is that he wants to protect those he cares about. If somebody is afraid of him then that causes him to doubt himself cause instead of protecting them he's making them afraid of him. It worked out in the end but if he'd told her like look I know I probably look pretty scary to you right now but it's still me underneath the mask. I understand you're scared but I need this power the mask gives me in order to protect you. Otherwise I'd never use it. It probably didn't help that when the fight started when he told her to put her barrier up he kind of yelled at her. So that was a mistake on his part. Given the situation it's understandable that he wanted her to protect herself but still
