When I was in highschool, I had so much knowledge about the 18th dynasty that I wrote down a 5,000 word essay about Tutankhamun, Akhenaten, and Ankhesenamun. After I finished Ankhesenamun's I wrote another essay about all of the six sisters. Because no matter what they were the princesses who deserved their stories told. No matter how short it might be. And his oldest sister Meritaten was thought to have been one of the nurses that raised Tutankhamun

Almost 30 years ago I visited Egypt with my son, six and a half then, and my daughter, 4, and their father. We were in Cairo, Luxor, el Amarna and the tempel of Hatshepsut. In different ways, the four of us enjoyed the journey and were impressed by the builidings and their reliefs and wall paintings. I like to hear you explaining.

DNA testing has proven that Akhenaten was, indeed, Tut's father. His mother was found to be Akhenaten's full sister, the "younger lady" of two royal female mummies found in a sealed room in the Valley of the Kings. It is not known for certain that this wife was Kia, though. Akhenaten and this wife were also full brother and sister, which goes a long way in explaining Tut's many physical oddities. Nefertiti's tomb has never been located, nor her mummy found, but she is historically not believed to have been related to Akhenaten, but rather to a high court official names Ay, who eventually became pharaoh after having married Akhenaten and Nefertiti's daughter. So Ay bettered his dubious claim to the throne by marrying his own granddaughter.

Thank you for doing this film. I am also a lover of Egyptian antiquity. I have always loved learning about their culture and how far advanced they were to other cultures. You do such a great job of showing how they lived`and it shows that you love the culture and the people. Keep making your films please. They are well done and you touch on parts of their life that other film makers do not.

I just found this channel and am so excited to find a place that has so many videos about ancient Egypt. My 4th grade teacher introduced me to Ancient Egypt many years ago and it has been a passion of mine ever since. Seeing the Metropolitan Opera’s fantastic production of Phillip Glass’s monumental opera “Ahknaten” started me on a quest to learn everything that I could about Akhnaten, Nefertiti, their six daughters and Queen Tiye. King Tut was my introduction to Ancient Egypt, so it’s wonderful to learn about the rest of his family. Question: as this November will mark the 100th anniversary of Howard Carter finding Tut’s tomb do you know of any special celebrations of that momentous event in Egypt or elsewhere? One would think that the centenary of such an important archeological discovery would be a very big deal.

Many art experts, forgers, and Egyptologists no longer believe the famous bust people believe is Nefertiti is genuine. Smithsonian had a documentary on it last week. She was an extraordinary woman, but the famous bust is not from her time, made in modern times, probably to impress the Duke who was visiting the site, and the archaeologist just "happened" to find it when he visited. Too bad her tomb and mummy have not yet been found

I spent a week in Mojave with some people I met 2 days before. Best week of my life. One of the guys told me to read this book which reminded me of The Matrix movie, but with more information. And it changed my life…so I’m paying it forward: “Man Being Volume 1: The Transmission”. It covers everything from time travel, dreams, death, the afterlife, reincarnation, extraterrestrials, portals and gateways, Vatican and Renaissance secrets, Ancient civilizations, Lemuria, Atlantis, Jesus, Sinai, Egyptians and the Pyramids, Hebrew letters, etc. Wild read. Best I’ve had in years. Highly recommend it.
