As a 10 year old I was so attached to Zane that I went through the stages of grief when he died. Before the full episode was released there was a super low quality clip of just his death on KZbin… no context so I genuinely thought he wasn’t coming back.

The reason why season 3 felt so rushed is because it really was. The show was supposed to end with the overlords death in season 2, but because it was so popular they kept it going. Deadlines and amount of episodes kept getting changed, so that's why it feels a lil off. Glad you enjoyed it tho, and keep the vids going, I love them :)

My god I was 12 when the finale episode of the season aired up for the first time. Zane was my absolute favorite character (still is to this day) and I legit cried when he died, went through the stages of grief until the last minutes of the episode where I got the gleam of hope that Zane could come back. Imagine your favorite character who you relate to, and kinda project to, just exploding and freaking dying on screen I was in shock for the whole day.

No lie, season 3 is a REALLY rugged season in terms of plot. When we compare it to the rest of the show it certainly lacks in a lot of ways. BUT the show immediately redeems itself with the very next season: Tournament of Elements I really hope you keep putting out Ninjago content as I really enjoy them and sure you will like it way more as you check out the remaining seasons :D

What I find interesting about this season is the behind the scenes production. After season 2 of Ninjago the series was meant to be replaced with Legends of Chima, with official sources saying that Ninjago fans would go “What Ninjago?” after seeing the Chima tv show. Ninjago fans took offence to this statement and began complaining everywhere they could, from online forums to physical letters sent into Lego. In a move rare for large corporations who’s top priority is money Lego realised they had kicked a hornet’s nest and course corrected, deciding to continue Ninjago while also going ahead with the new Chima. This led to the season 3 sets for Ninjago being created in only several months (as opposed to the two to three years of development Lego sets normally go through) and the tv series being produced on a smaller budget (since most of the budget went into producing the Chima show), which I suspect is the reason why season 3 was released two episodes at a time every three months over the course of 2014. Ninjago’s instant success upon its return convinced Lego to give Ninjago season 4 a larger budget and it massively outperformed Chima, leading to that theme being discontinued.

To explain what happened to Zane, apparently while making contact to the Golden Armor of the Golden Master, Zane's body and programming gained new abilities like on-demand shuriken, but he took in too much power that he exploded, with his conciousness being blasted back into the digiverse. Yeah, this sounds so full of BS that I might as well have pulled it out of my rear end. EDIT: Also I guess it's explained in a video game (Shadow of Ronin) that Zane ended up building himself a titanium body, but was kidnapped by some bounty hunter named Ronin (he shows up two seasons after Rebooted, during the Ghost stuff) and brought to this guy named Master Chen to lure the Ninja to his island to do Season 4, the TOURNAMENT OF ELEMENTS.

Kai and Pixal are probably my current favs! It’s kind of hard to pick out which season I’d say is my favorite but currently it’s probably a tie between seasons 3 and 6.

0:23 So on the topic of technology seemingly coming out of nowhere. If you look closely in the pilots there is bamboo telephone polls in Kai’s village and in Coles town there is clearly electricity what with the stage lights and all that. There has in fact been electricity since the start though it is worth noting that Kai is the most resistant to technology and this is likely because he comes from a rural community while he maybe had a landline and electricity but there likely wasn’t much else since like the real world advancement happens in the urban areas before reaching the poor farming communities which is where Kai’s from. So all of this technology is far more sudden to him than to Zane, Jay or Cole who grew up near the city. Yes it does become significantly more high tech in season three which is likely due to bad writing but it is totally possible that things had already been progressing behind the scenes since the ninja never really had much reason to pay attention to technological advancement due to their magic tech.

Okay I'm gonna be honest, despite being a HUGE fan of the first two seasons, I never watched past that. I just couldn't get over how much the world had changed since the end of season 2. The shift from feudal japan but not to fully futuristic world setting just completely broke my suspension of disbelief, and top of that I really didn't want to do with the Nya drama after getting so attached to her and Jay's relationship over the last few seasons. I probably will never watch past season 2 in all honesty, the show just took a turn that wasn't for me, but it's always awesome to see that the fandom is still going strong :D Also Zane is, and forever will be, best character (and possibly the reason why I get so attached to robot characters)

Hi, i was wondering if you'd be interested in covering Puppy in My Pocket? It's a 26 episodes long italian cartoon about a girl in a magical animal world trying to find the lost cat princess of pocketville while matching together pets with their ideal child owners with the help of one half of a broken magical locket the protagonist has (the villain has the other half and tries to prevent these matches from being made) I remember it being a nice show I'd sometimes catch on grandma's tv as a child. I love the waves of nostalgia your videos bring and it would be so cool if you could cover this series. However health and comes first, so make sure rest plently and dont push yourself if you're not feeling well. We love you and what you do and wish you a speedy recovery with minimal issues

you should make a video about Red VS Blue, the characters are hilarious and so well used, and the story starts with random dumb wtf things that get deeper and darker each season, but the main characters keep being stupid and doing dumb shit that works somehow but it never feels forced no matter how random it is, and the reactions of the serious/normal characters are priceless. and despite all that, it still manage to make you cry with certain scenes
