101% Great video as a CCW instructor an "AD" is not an accident.

I just want you to know that you rank 3rd in my list of favorite gun reviewers. 1. Hickok45 2. Honest Outlaw 3. Matt Stamp I hope that’s a compliment. Best of luck man!

I go one step further with the decocker. I'll follow the hammer down with my off-hand thumb just in case a part of the mechanism fails.

The trip and fire with the saw happened in 2/7 fox as well. I'll keep the guys name to myself, but it started this an "R". After that incident he was a permanent fighting hole digger. Strangely with a year of us not trusting him he turned out to be a hell of a Marine. Did well in combat as well. But before Afghanistan, and Iraq he was digging holes in Korea, Japan, and the Philippines...

We laughed at him more than anything. It was a funny looking fall. He did made it a priority to check the safety before he moved.

@@ArmedSteadyFirearmsChannel I would think the sergeant or whoever was in charge would be on his ass about safety. I know it was an accident but still. And I would also like to say that I appreciate that you take the time to respond to all of your comments, very few on KZbin do.

If they can't handle them. Throw them an airgun replica until they get the the point that it's not a toy and understand the rules. Pretty decent way to learn muscle memory. After playing with airsoft guns as a kid, the muscle memory and practices are engrained. I cant even pick up a spray bottle or drill without the muscle memory kicking in 🤣 (finger outside the trigger well)

A fellow marine, and police officer in the town I work thought he teach his fellow co worker and friend a female dispatcher/officer a lesson when he found her weapon loaded laying on the desk behind her in the local police department dispatch office. He proceeded to field strip the duty weapon after dropping the magazine. But HE forgot the 1st. rule of firearms safety... TREAT ALL WEAPONS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED. Needless to say he sent a .9mm round grazing his hand into the floor. She was on the telephone at the time of the accidental discharge. She herd the shot, and his cussing because he just shot himself, ( grazed his hand) and negligent discharged a weapon in the office. She called me over to treat look at his hand, He was fine medically, but NOT fine once the Chief got a hold of him. They both got into trouble, her for leaving a weapon unsecured, and him for a n.d. and improper weapons safety. Morale of the story: Even professionals sometimes forget and make mistakes, but Firearms safety is everyone's goal as the Chief drove the point home to the both of them.

Do you prefer always having pistols with a safety? My glock 23 generation 5 and mp shield 2.0 45 don't have one. Which makes me not wanna ever carry them it's like this mental thing knowing 1 would be live in the chamber. I prefer the 1911 and the safety on and the muscle memory of taking the safety off when you pull it out and putting it back on when you put it back. You made a video once about that and I practiced it unloaded of course over and over.. I think I feel alot more comfortable with a safety like that then without 1. I understand why they make some pistols without a safety but overall I prefer them

The safety rules can never be repeated too many times. I find you description of DA/SA firearms interesting - they seem less safe than a 1911. Maybe do a DA/SA and how to use them video. I have 1911 and will never own anything other as I love the platform but I would like to see a similar video as your 1911 and how to use them.
