Krauss actually handled this very well. Tyson is USED to being a lecturer. I have seen this happen so much in academics. Some PhDs are so used to being the dominating voices in a discussion. Tyson is OBVIOUSLY that, and full of good, illuminating knowledge. But Krauss, who is his equal, let his guest have his say and dominate the stage, as he should. This is actually quite promising for Kruass and his podcast.

I think something like this would have been very illuminating and helpful to me 25 years ago when I was just starting out in college and working at a science museum. This is simply excellent. I am currently between jobs at the moment and I found this to be inspiring me to look again at the possibility of finding work in a nontraditional educational setting. It has been many years but the only time I ever felt truly fulfilled in a job was working in a science museum.

Mr Tyson's relating how he became interested in astronomy and what support he got (and didn't get) is for me the most interesting and useful talk he has given. There was a time when working men's lending libraries or public libraries kept a stock of books that would help any young man get on in any chosen profession. If there is no exposure to possibilities there can be no planting of seeds of ambition or hope. Today's teachers seem unable to direct or encourage self motivated students only to bore them.

When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it. Neil does not know BASIC science. Not only can't we have creation without God, Neil does not know that we also can't have science without God. The laws of nature can only come from a Lawgiver, God. Tyson says his crap at about 2:00 in the video below about the eye evolution. It is proven false in the rest of the video. But to dumbasses, to hell with details and what the evidence shows. Your agenda is all that matters. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmjLY3uNmLmql5Y He IS Neil deDumbass Tyson.

Well Neil Degrasse - after poking fun at the 3 UFO videos - what is your comment now that US Navy has confirmed the 3 UFO videos are Authentic and do capture an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, according to the US Navy . And now the US Army has signed a CRADA deal to study UFO metal samples supplied by TTSA according to all media reports = where are your debunking comments now Neil Degrasse

This one of the most interesting and intellectually stimulating conversations I've listen to between two of the greatest academics giants of our time. And despite Neil, who is absolutely bursting with enthusiasm, constantly interrupting you Lawrence, you remain composted. But then I guess that you have known each other for so long, debated together so often and are both on the same page, that's even more enjoyable to watch. You made a very poignant comment Lawrence at 1:29:11 when you said 'people shouldn't hold back if they want to relate to someone, It's a good idea to do so when you have the opportunity rather than later because you often regret it'. So I would like to take this opportunity, while I still can, to thank you both for promoting objectivity in a very entertaining way. You are both a breath of fresh air in these times of misinformation, fake news (although I don't like using that phrase now for obvious reasons 😉) and subjective opinions. Take care

One of the best ways to start the journey into science is music. Music makes you study sound. Sound makes you study vibration. And vibration is what we are. We jiggle, atoms jiggle, MRI's resonate.

On the robot vs. human going to space, I think the reason why we get more excited is that we can imagine ourselves in the place of the astronauts. Whereas it is hard to imagine ourselves in the place of robots. There is a reason why the robots go first because you don't explore uncharted territory with people, you can't have them thinking something bad could happen to them. So, in a way, I think it is the complete opposite of what Dr. Krauss is arguing. But I can see the appeal of his argument. We are very lucky to get to hear these conversations. Thanks to you both for educating.
