Check out Neil's Pole Stamina 180 in this GMBN presenter bike check. Neil, are you running 203mm discs front and back? Would be good to see a comparison on disc sizes against speed on a section of trail... I’m a heavy rider and ride 203 front and 180 back on my orange five, and I’m considering going 203 rear as I tend to drag the back... opinions welcome! Keep up the good work love the channel 👍

Wow you are running some seriously large Rotors if you opt for a 203mm at the rear. Let me know if it works as I’m quite heavy too 95-100kg

I would ride everywhere, to be honest! It's a superbike in my opinion, so if everything would ease up, we have beautiful mountains in Poland (south) great lake views on the north-east side, so if I had the time and this bike I would travel Poland everywhere! - that is basically my dream - to ride, ride, ride everywhere on a bike, and get paid for it.

I'll take it that the saddle is the Ergon Enduro Pro Titanium ? It seems they do not actually sell these peticular ones with the big white Ergon on the sides. At least i just cant find them anywhere and they are not even featured on the Ergon website except a "stealth" version of them without the letters. Sadly it seems these are special issues only handed out to influencers. Guess the huge Ergon on the sides is just to ensure people seeing it on influencer bikes do really get which brand it is. :-D Sad though, would rather like to buy these than the stealth version.

#Neil #ASKGMBN #ASKNEIL - I have big-time trouble finding the best brakes for me, you already said like 4-5 times that those breaks are insanely good, but what about Magura MT7? according to this site: enduro-mtb.com/en/best-mtb-disc-brake-can-buy/ MT7's are the strongest and fastest-slowing brakes on the market. Can you say ur opinion about both? Maybe GMBN can do a comparison of the 2? currently, I'm using Saint brakes, and for my normal Kross Level 6 bikes they are working fine or even great, but on my Scott big jon 2016 they simply do not work as great as on Kross. (they both been serviced in few bike shops and by me, to no avail in properly slowing down, and I can't believe that all 3 of them I'm using are from a bad batch or sth. Yes, I am using mineral oil for all of them.
@chrisridesbicycles
@chrisridesbicycles 3 жыл бұрын
The MT7 only wins the 45 to 0 category. One problem with brake tests is that they are done with the stock pads. This might be a fair test condition and it would be a lot of work testing all pads for every brake is a lot of work but it is also a thing you can change for little money. If you have not, get Trickstuff 260 Power pads for your Saint. I used this combination for years and it never let me down (in sharp contrast to SRAM/Avid brakes) and worked better than with the stock pads.
