I was a fan of Split Enz from first contact, which happened for me in 1979 or 1980 or thereabouts at the age of 9 or 10, living in the cultural wasteland of Perth, Australia. Would still rate _Message To My Girl_ as one of the greatest songs ever written. Musically and lyrically flawless.

I love how certain guitar players are so distinctive you can't mistake them for anyone else. When I hear this acoustic version, I realize how true this is of Neil. No production or accrutriment and that distinctive sound is there. I loves it.

Saw Crowded House back on the Woodface tour. To this day, it was the most enjoyable concert I've seen. Every one of them just seemed to really enjoy playing. Can't wait until Neil comes back around the states.
