I got a question.... Just how far should someone cast there line out to catch a fish ? And a casting bobber ... just how far do you cast ? My friend cast his bobber setup out say 10 to 15 feet and gets bites and catches a few. I should like 30 to 45 feet and let it sit there and not even a nibble to be had so what would I be doing wrong here ?

Appreciate seeing the video with the topwater fish. I love catching fish with the Whopper Plopper. This year has been so good with the spinner baits and shaky heads that I have been too busy taking off fish to change over lures. HaHa

I'm going to have to try the grave bass air tail wiggler on the neko rig this year. I've had good luck on a wacky neko mesh but never have dedicated time solely to the neko.

I was out at the lake last weekend and actually had hits on a top water! you are right that is FUN! lost 2 frogs pike snapped right off and one of the spinners I made. the third I landed on the second spinner I made.. so much fun. going back this weekend to find those pike and get my frogs back...

Congrats on first topwater bass! I’ve been slamming bass for a week on Headbanger Spitfire. Nobody throws this thing; so the fish aren’t conditioned to it like they are to the Whopper Plopper, at least in my spots. The Headbanger is much more subtle bait, creates a wake like a jointed Rapala when fished slow on surface. My new confidence topwater.
