A lot of members within hololive have different dreams: Budokan, becoming the idol they've always wanted to be, performing an Anime song, and so on. Okayu doesn't usually talk about hers, but this is one of the rare moments where she did. Expand for translator's notes. 0:03 - Literally speaking, 実家だよ! is like saying "this is your home!" but I felt like it sounded awkward for Okayu to reply like that, so I wrote "You're home, you're home!" because it felt more natural to me. There are many other ways to say "home" in Japanese, but the nuance here for 実家 is that meant to convey a sense of comfort and familiarity of being home with people you trust. Literally speaking, it often means your parent's home/the house you grew up in particular. 0:20 - Instead of the word 'blend,' Okayu actually uses the word 溶ける, which means to melt. I thought it'd be kinda weird to say "A vtuber whose streams melt into your daily life" when the purpose of what she's saying is that her streams become like a natural part of your life, so I used the word "blend" instead. 1:54 - Okayu doesn't really think of herself as funny, but I think she can be pretty hilarious during her streams. While she specifies that she thinks she would be a poor comedian, I honestly think just watching her natural reactions is really fun. This note is more to point out a moment where Okayu doesn't think all that highly of herself, as it's not something a lot of people are aware of. While you may have seen moments like her pointing out how she didn't use to like her voice, she's got other moments like this as well. Come to think of it, it's not really that uncommon in hololive. Even Mio doesn't really think of herself as a good singer (and Mio's one of my favorite singers in hololive...). 2:13 - The word Okayu uses to refer to "what she wanted to do in life" is 生きがい. Other ways to translate this are "reason for living," "life's purpose," "raison d'etre" if you're translating into French, and so on. It's kind of got a lot of heavy sounding translations, but Okayu is speaking pretty casually and not too seriously, so I felt like using any of those didn't fit the tone very well. I don't think the other translations are wrong though, and ultimately I just wanted to convey that Okayu felt like that was something very important to her life. Considering a lot of people think of Okayu as an extremely chill streamer, she's accomplishing what she set out to do very well. As a side note, I kind of hesitated about when to release this video. It was actually done yesterday, but since Coco had just graduated, I wondered if it might not be the best timing. But I think clipping as usual is better than forcibly slowing down. Either way, I hope you find this clip of Okayu heart warming. She has a lot of moments like these where she shows how much she cares about others, and I wanted to share that side of her too.

As always the TL notes are super detailed and super helpful! Thanks for the super high quality translations, they usually get drowned over by faster clippers and meme edits but having people dedicated to try and get our idol's true feelings across a language barrier is unbelievable. So as always thanks for the TLs!

Wtf I literally have had the exact same thoughts that she described in this clip… well except I’m still 15 and not a streamer I’ve been backed up recently but finally got around to watching this, good work as always!

They didn't just blend in, Okayu and the other Holomem have basically taken over my life lol "I wanted to be close to someone and be able to do something for them" Aw, that sounds like a friend to me. She's got plenty of friends in Hololive, Nijisanji, and non-vtuber friends too. She's definitely done a lot for us but I don't know if I can that she's close, there's quite a few things that I wouldn't have guessed like her being a shota/lolicon, having a glove fettish or putting salt on her mouth sores

So.... I got here by searching "Nekomata Okazu" then read "A dream fulfilled". I was like YA BE.

I still have that clip that Jin translated about Okayu's goal as a VTuber... And I'm so glad she is able to accomplish it here, I'm also so glad that I found Okayu, she's really helped learn so many new things and actually work hard.
