I already know from the start that this is going to be spin-off Atelier game and that it doesn't carry its traditional mechanic of synthesis and crafting. But either way, I'm a big fan of the series and I'm really interested to play Nelke's Simcity Atelier game. It's nice to see one of my favorite characters from the Dusk and Arland series like Totori and Ayesha. After hearing your review. I can't wait to play this game once I get home! Thanks for the review!

Got my copy this morning and started playing. Took me a minute to really figure out the mechanics but once I did I really started enjoying it. 12 hours in so far and I'm loving this game. Definitely a great new addition to my Switch catalog.

Great review, i really love the atelier games. I might buy nelke and the legendary alchemists later on for the nintendo switch, even though it's not really my type of game, I still love the animation and design of this game. I'm thinking about getting nelke and the legendary alchemists when it's on sale and atelier lulua for the nintendo switch too.

Thank goodness for this video. I had no idea this was a spin-off that's mainly a town building game.

Might be a year ago but I was wondering how you felt about this game I'm interested but on the fence

@@andrewkkerr8435 Well it's not a normal Atelier game it's very much a town management game. There is a ton of fan service for Atelier fans though. Not my favorite game but I still had fun with it. If you are a big fan of the series and like town management games I think you may like it.

I might get this game for the nintendo switch later on, since i really love the atelier games, but I really don't like city building games at all, and i'm still deciding if I'll buy this one or the other atelier games first for the nintendo switch.

Would anyone suggest what platform to play this on? I was thinking ps4 (because all my other atelier games are on thaat) But I think this game might be fun on the swtich?

It's more of a micromanagement sim and I find those better in small bursts on a system like the Switch. Even though I did get sucked in and played for long stints at times, I don't think Nelke is the type of game most people will be marathoning.

Recently they released the arland trilogy in a bundle in ps4, switch and pc
@alexanderluna45985 жыл бұрын
Ps vita has all major titles in their deluxe form. Next best would be PlayStation 4 which have all major titles except for early dusk titles I think. PS4 might have shallie but I can’t remember for sure. Next is Switch which has the arland trilogy and the mysterious saga but no dusk trilogy.

Atelier has charm? I thought it was an amalgamation of the lead writers and directors shoving their fists down their throats and throwing the crap that comes up into a computer. Seriously though this series is awful. Playing it was like constantly hearing grinding nails on a chalkboard. Mind you I have given multiple games in the series a chance.

The older ones were better. Like PS2 Atelier Iris 2 is my fave. I think anything ps3 era and later really changed. Now they're pretty moe blob vendor trash I find. Not too bad(I've def played worse), but it's junk food in the end. I'd like to try the city sim one though since I do like those kinds of games, but they're certainly not for everyone.

For the most part I agree, my first game was Shallie I enjoyed it quite a bit and later picked up Sophie.... needless to say I didn’t enjoy it. The alchemy can be fun, but oh my god it is a horrible rpg, and has a very bland anime stereotype story, the characters are plain and unmemorable. That’s not even getting into the early ps2 level graphics...I think it’d be fun for someone if they played one entry, because they just keep churning out the same crap every year- which in itself is detrimental instead of trying to improve the games they just go the cash-grab route and pray on newcomers and fans who at this point feel like it’s an obligation to get the next game. I’ve never played any games before Shallie. I’ve heard they’re a bit better, I’ll try picking up ayesha or escha & logy. If I don’t enjoy those games it’ll be time for me to put this series to rest....

@@FrenOfAllRodents E&L to me wasn't too fantastic as a JRPG either. The travel was meh and the time limits ruined a lot of the fun. I recommend the Iris games as an RPG. It's more of an adventure and alchemy just supplements the adventure.

Kaito The Unknown Cool I’ll keep that in mind when making my decision.
