I still am having a hard time ranking this album but my top 5 have been solid since release day! Maroon is my favorite and one of the best songs in her whole discography. After that in no particular order we have Hits Different, Mastermind, Anti-Hero, and Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve. Right on the heels of my top 5 is Sweet Nothing, I cried the first few times I heard it, it’s just incredible and reminds me a lot of mine and my husband’s relationship. Midnights is a 100% skipless album for me! I love every single song.

I love seeing other people's rankings! Everyone is so different, which really showcases what a master album this really is. My favorite is You're On Your Own, Kid. That has been the same since the first listen. Other songs move up and down a lot, but I don't skip a single track. Maroon is usually in my top 5, as is Sweet Nothing. Dear Reader was #2 for me for awhile, I adore it! Glitch keeps moving up for me, as does Labyrinth.

Something I love about midnights the album, is that it can be cohesive without every song feeling the same, or being about the same things. for example: vigilante sht is a very different song compared to the rest of the album, but it still makes sense why it is there, and it fits in with the theme, sleepless nights, in this case she’s staying up to plot revenge 💀 but then there are songs like Lavender Haze, question, about completely different topics, yet they still make a cohesive album. Idk if I’m making any sense, if you know you know lmao

You never know how much of a song is actually about her. I remember YEARS ago Usher came out with Confessions album right after his breakup with Chili. The song confessions blew up with a ton of speculation of him cheating etc. usher writes a lot of his songs so I was very surprised in an interview he said that particular song had nothing to do with him but everything to do about what his friend was going through. So Taylor could be writing from other peoples experiences
