Cool idea of putting the board in an aftermarket MVS shell! I did end up buying the Neo-Geo Arcade Stick...the stick was passable but the buttons were awful. After I spent another $60 on Japanese parts and added more games, it's pretty cool. I also have a PI 3B+ with an RGB-Pi cable/software that is running into a JVC D-Series. That seems to run the games quite well, too! I've never owned a Rock64 board, so I might have to look into it.

Yeah this stick is more aesthetic than the OG Neo stick. Plus it was only $40 when I bought it 2 years ago. Your setup sounds great! It's brutal to get a PI at a reasonable price at this time. I'd like to try a Zero when the prices come down. Thanks for watching!

Excellent looking build. That board certainly has zero problems it seems, very nice! As someone who has the original hardware/software you might think that i don't approve of emulation for Neo-Geo, but that's not true. I actually love this and i recommend emulation often to folks who want to get into the arcade stuff especially. Great video JP! THANKS

Thanks my man! I would love to have real hardware but it's EXPENSIVE. A console and a couple of games...I'd go hungry for a few weeks. 😂 Thanks for watching!

@@RetroGameRarities oh God, tell me about it! I got my MVS and the games at just the right time, right before they went to plaid. (Space Balls reference) I could never even think about spending the dough on an AES home system! 🤑 $10k for some titles!!!

@@retroprojections Well played. Almost everything is hitting MSRP prices from 30 years ago now. Early 2000s was the sweet spot for buyers.

Hey JP, any CRT overview type videos in the future? Those are always informative and entertaining

Hey bud! Yep. I have a mini JVC broadcast monitor that's in the queue. Thing is crispy with quite a few options.
