Love the new format of the review with the bar chart comparing similar models of paddles on a scale. You should keep this format and keep including the one detailing how each paddle feels (plush, stiff, etc.).

can you say more? This review was so balanced that I'm confused... "recency bias". Never heard that term before. It's so true. It's the shiny new toy... but is it truly a wonderful paddle to play with a lot?
@wolf-xf6hf5 сағат бұрын
@@spaznickermeyer3507 for whatever its worth recency bias is one of the most well known psychological phenomena so chris isnt just making that up. I think pretty much most of when Chris said is accurate however I think it has more pop than he said especially compared to the 11six24 monarch all court. The all court I found to be less stiff than the neonic flare prime x when stock due to the much lower swing weight of the flare prime x, 106 vs 111 and 14mm vs 16mm. Likewise I think the monarch has a slightly larger sweet spot and less pop making it generally more forgiving. That being said I found the neonic to have a lot of both pop and power especially when you add weight and like most 14mm paddles I think it plays more consistently once you dial it in. Also I personally found that hitting drops with the flare prime x was actually very easy. All that being said the differences are pretty minimal and I do prefer the neonic flare prime x.

Regarding those spin numbers. Apart from the grit, dwell time is a big contributor to spin. So seeing a 16mm version have higher spin numbers than a presumably stiffer 14mm might not just be due to inconsistency.

Instead of (or in addition to) giving the balance value in cm, possible to just say whether or not the balance point is closer to the top or bottom of the paddle? I'm not sure what to do w/the cm value w/out breaking out a ruler and measuring the paddle.

Been maining the M2F 14 for 6 months now. I love this paddle but have the new paddle itch. I love the sweet spot and control but sometimes want a bit more power. Is this the paddle I need to try? Or should I take a shot on the monarch all court ?

I watched 7 different reviews on this paddle today and do not know what to think. Some reviewers say “smaller than average sweet spot” and others “huge sweet spot.” Some say “elite spin” and others “lacking in spin.” Some say “more pop than power” and others “more power than pop”. I don’t think I’ve seen such drastic differences among reviews for a paddle. Have you noticed this? I bought the prime x today and am a little concerned that their production is extremely inconsistent
@PickleballStudioКүн бұрын
I haven’t watched other reviews to see. Of the people I have talked to who have used it, thoughts have been pretty consistent though. Spin is always going to be a variable for basically every single brand. It’s a common problem in Pickleball that no one seems to have addressed perfectly. So far the only ones that stand out for consistent texture have been the US made raw carbon paddles. (Engage, PaddeTek, and possibly the Vanguard Control from Selkirk). There’s also the variable of how long did people test the paddle for, what did they benchmark it against, and what did they use recently. That can influence perception of a paddle a lot. We usually test our paddles for 1-2 weeks and benchmark against other paddles to make sure we have a “clean palette” if you want to call it that. Also, at the end of the day, some things just come down to players having different preferences and perceptions of different feelings for paddles. Those would be my initial guesses as to why there’s different thoughts.

How does the pop/ power compare to an Engage Pursuit Pro EX?
@PickleballStudioКүн бұрын
I haven’t hit a Pursuit Pro in a minute. Off the top of my head, I would place that above the FPX for pop and power.

12:23 i have 4 neonic paddles 2 og flows, 1 flare prime, and 1 flare prime x and for some reason both my flows have gotten frankly absurd spin and both the flares have left something to be desired in all honesty

I am big on cheap paddles, especially after finding the vatic prism pro. I was wondering if anybody can recommend a paddle close to the control of the vatic but with more bounce off the paddle?
@mikedrakulich932310 сағат бұрын
Perhaps consider the upcoming new Vatic Prism or Flash "sage" versions out in a week or so .BTW I own the Flare Prime X and like it a lot

make a new video on the monarch all court 14mm in the future please then compare it the the neonic flare prime x

Your last few units had less spin thy others? It has to be the 3.5 ness and not the paddle 😂
