Clean work! BUT the only thing ill criticize is the boxes face flexing is not a good thing, you are loosing DBs for sure... Thicker MDF, a double baffle, and face bracing would have helped this clean install, a whole lot... :-)

Nice setup... Pioneer and Kicker is a heck of a combination. I have a Pioneer AVIC X910BT 1 solobaric L5 and a 800 watt kicker amp. I'll be adding another L5 15 soon and a Crescendo 3k. Should sound pretty good.

I would get one L7 15. That's a small car and if your box is right you'll be impressed. Not to mention all the power requirements it would take to add another sub.

I ebayed it all, the subs were 220 each shipped, the amp 600, the 350.4s were 100 each and the cap 200, the box took time and money to make, and the z3 HU was 1200 shipped

I have the same setup.. two 06 Kicker solobaric l7's, 06ZX2500:1, O gauge stinger wire, Mines in a 1995 Chevy Tahoe, and im still using the stock alternator for now.. 105amp alternator with a 700CCA cheapass battery.. volt drops to about 9.5 which isnt good but I havent done the big 3 or bought my 200amp alt either.. but it is ridiculousy loud.. going tommorow for a 9cubic foot box and Second Skin in the skin to improve it..

its pretty strong but you will need a good alternator and big 3 upgrade minimum, second battery is a must as well

its 12 cubes, 6 per driver. I went with kicker's req on theor web site. The box was made by Bill at Audio 2000 in tucson AZ I wouldnt let anyone else touch any of my cars. I hit 154.8 with it with the mic at the kick panel, I cant wait to see how loud will be when the subs break in.

That song is "Bass, I Love You." It is VERY low hertz though. My four L7 15"s peak at about 42 hertz, and I got a buddy with 4 Crossfire 18"s who hits 155.4db at 37 hertz and even his system doesn't hit well on that song. You have to have a low tuned box for that song to sound loud. It may cause some flex, but it won't sound loud. I've never looked to see what hertz that song actually is at. I have a TermLab that would tell me, but my truck is in for paint and air bags. Google it I guess.

@SuperBuster1977 it does hair tricks, the box hit 150.9 db on the TL meter. I am selling it for 700 dollars with everything included, trim etc. Its not very heavy either for shipping.

thats alot of power going into one L7. But it all depends on the box design. I seen 1 L7 15 pushing upper 140s with 1500 rms into it.

actually you can run them at 2 ohms just connect one voice coil on one speaker to one voice coil on the other speaker in parallel, that will give you a four ohm load.... you dont have to hook up both voice coils... they are made that way for wiring flexability

The Big Three consists of 1. Upgrading to a High Output Alternator 2. Upgrading to a Heavy Duty Deep Cycle Battery (generally a Optima Yellow Top or Kinetik Battery) 3. Upgrading existing stock wires for better current flow.. Battery Postive (red) to the back of the alternator Battery Negative (black) to the chassis or frame of the car Engine Block to Chassis or Ground.. Normally found where you mount the alternator because the alternator grounds itself.. use 0gauge wires for this upgrade

yea the box was fixed, didnt flex anymore, after it was braced more it seemed that song didnt hit as much (because when the box was jumping it was shaking everything, even the dash) but its solid now for sure.

1500 watts rms will be enough, kicker under rates the amps, so it will be around 1650-1700 watts, so yeah, you will be ok with that.

2 18" Re audio xxx's do great on bass i love you. i have 2 of em in my tahoe in a custom box built by dave the box guy. Tuned to 32 hertz it gets nasty low.

I think one 2500.1 will be enough for them 15s, and you are ok, just hook them up up to 4 ohms then back to 2 and out to the amp. That is a very good price on the amps btw

Do you like these subs? I have 2 in my jeep and in all honestly i dont think they have enough excursion in comparison to other brands. Have an alpine mp2000 amp, at 3/4 gain each sub gets about 1200w rms via volt meter. Its in a 10.4 cuft box, wont even really do a "hair trick"

I have 2 08kicker L7's with a hifonics bxi2008d 2000RMS amp... looking to see how you wired this... I am looking at a 0 gauge wire kit for the amp. Was wondering if you still have a stock alternator, from what I have seen, with this much power, we should have a 200 amp high output alternator. I also have bought a 2 farad capacitor to help stablize even more... what are your thoughts?

you are right, its definately not 150 last test was 152.4 at the kick panel.

you can get away with about 1500 watts rms, but I like to have more power and turn it down a bit. a kicker 1500.1 will do fine if you dont want to spend to much money
