not going to lie, I passed my high school biology because of you. I really enjoyed studying because of you and that's why I decided to pursue something related to biology and I'm currently a first year med student.

I love your videos and they've proven to be an EXCELLENT study aid, but if I can make one little clarification at around 1:00. Urine passes through the ureters into the bladder and then out the urethra. A man's urethra is located in his penis, but women don't pass urine out of their vagina - it comes out of their urethra, too, which is located right above their vaginal opening. thanks again for all your hard work!!

Absolutely love your videos Armando! Everyone...stop pointing out that he made the smallest of all errors in the INTRO video to a very complex concept. He's trying to draw, figure out how to fit everything into a small picture, and make sure he doesn't go ahead of himself and include things that aren't supposed to be included until later videos. And when he's doing the voice over, he has to talk really fast to keep up with the fast-forwarded video, and it's extremely difficult for him to pronounce a lot of these words....he's trying his best. Excellent job :) You make nephrology (quite a boring subject) not so bad! Thanks xx

1st he isnt talking really fast lol and 2nd ppl must point out some mistakes cause its an educational video..it doesnt mean theyre judging or anything..and as for those who are, you have the right to downvote them

Excellent video content! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you considered - Trentvorty Perfection Kidney Theorem (google it)? It is a smashing one off product for improving kidney function without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my work buddy finally got cool results with it.

Yes you are correct bladder than urethra. Should probably correct that thanks. And the vagina I just said as a general statement :/, but yes its not technically the vagina, but some where close to it. thanks again for pointing that out.

These videos are amazing. I knew you didn't mean vagina. No big deal to your amazing performances. Thank you.

Based from the feedbacks of first year medical students, Renal Physiology is the toughest topic to study. So, as an incoming freshmen, I am studying these topics in advanced, and your videos really are a big help for me to grasp the important concepts under these topics. Thank you very much Sir!

1:03 Um... no. Urine doesn't come out of the vagina... Your description of juxtamedullary nephrons versus cortical nephrons was helpful though. And the different types of cells explanation was very good. Probably just a slip of the tongue.
@drmjmrboh11 жыл бұрын
One thing is drastically incorrect is the statement at about 05:42, where he says "in the distal convoluted tubule where blood will still be travelling.." no blood travels in the tubule system of the nephron, just pre-urine. In the Bowman's capsule blood passes from the afferent arteriole to the efferent arteriole, while the waste products remain in the urinary space and then go on to the PCT and to the loop of Henle. All in all, you MIGHT have blood in your DCT, but then you'd have blood in your urine, and that is a problem. :)
@alainpannetier25434 жыл бұрын
Agreed, but quite easy to correct mentally when you hear it.

@Mary-bx6dz3 жыл бұрын
Please edit the video to correct @ 1:10. Pee does not come out of the vagina. If this seems trivial to you, consider that is particularly important to correct because women continue to have poorer health outcomes than men because their bodies are given less attention by the medical profession. Errors like this matter.

Technically, the urine is 'not" expelled through the vagina, but the urethra is actually part of the vaginal anatomy...so give this excellent man a break. I am actually beginning to understand my class and am feeling more confident. Thank you for all your hard work, considering you are doing it to help others and not get criticized for it.

great video. but i think it is a bit misleading to color the efferent arterioles blue as they don't become veinoles (typically blue colors) until after passing through the capillary bed in the vesa recta, which as you mentioned eventually becomes the renal vein and inferior vena cava.
