Calling Ian's reaction "raging" shows a clear lack of understanding and empathy. The Championship slipped out of his hands for a second time, this time after the most brutal, long-lasting fight of 18 games, he is shaking and clearly not in full control of his body, it is heart breaking to watch and as much as Ding deserves a win, Ian's breakdown is completely understandable.

It wasn't disrespect. Disrespect is Nepo throwing the pieces to the ground one move before the game is over, which could distract Ding and cause him to make a mistake. Disrespect Nepo had for his fans, when he squandered his best chance in game 12, and when he got a new opportunity in game 14, he wasted it again. And there are still those who say that this time Nepo would beat Carlsen, he couldn't stand even Ding who didn't even play so well in this match 😂😂😂

That reach and retraction, that stare into the camera away from the board, that trembling hand knocking the pieces over abd off the table. Most dramatic manifestation of a man who had it all to sudden defeat is the most vivid expression of loss I have ever seen. The toll the WCC on the players is beyind imagination. It wasnt a rsge at all. It was pure human raw emotions off loss. Absolutely intense.

To everyone saying it's not "rage". Rage does not need to be violent, it can be defined as "an intense feeling". He is 100% raging and he has every right to be upset. I don't think that needs to be associated with a negative connotation.
@vibovitold
@vibovitold Жыл бұрын
I think the negative connotation comes from the notion that raging is something done against others, while the point here is that he's sort of raging internally, against himself (which is understandable, since he's got himself to blame for letting the win slip away).
