I’ve thought for years that the cavs feel so close and I could never understand why they were so mediocre. Seeing DG and Mobley finally turn it up is a blast to see
@vism2812Күн бұрын
the reason why was inexperience and offensive schemes. since mitchell got to cleveland and they started 8-1 it was clear the team was very talented. but the players had no experience to draw on in high leverage games and JB Bickerstaff’s slow and stagnant approach to offence made it hard for everyone to get involved. now they’re battle tested, developing more every game, play proud team ball, and have an identity on both ends to fall back on

Yeah jb put a love for defense in these players too that can’t be understated this team has grown every year and I hope to see more 🤞

They definitely weren’t mediocre but I know what you mean. They’ve dealt with injuries every season playing together plus a coach that wasn’t able to unlock their full offensive potential. They’ve been a top 3-5 defensive team the past few years but now a top 5 offense to match it which is very scary

Kenny Atkinson was wondering what everyone else was: What the hell was Bickerstaff doing with this kid? He's HIM and has the whole bag, JB never put any time into developing him or running offense to or through him. Evan stayed professional through it all though.

JB had to win and that’s what he did Rubio got hurt never replaced him Ty Jerome miss the whole year dean Wade also garland missed most the year Mobley missed half and he still won he actually got everything out of this team for what they had been dealt pay attention to

And if you remember the Celtics playoff series, the game the Cavs won, they went through Mobley and continued to feed him. Then the following games they went to Mitchell taking all the shots and we lost every game after

in under 30 minutes while being a top 3 defender. like we see in the video, its not about the stats. him pushing off rebounds, initiating offence more as a handoff hub and pnr ballhandler, and attack every switch he sees opens things up for the whole team. his new aggressive approach to offence is a big reason the two big, ugly spacing having cavaliers can have a top 2 offence
