There's a way to gain a lot more access to your drawers under the desk. It looks like the slide rail is mounted at the top of the drawer sides. If so, you can cut down the exposed sides to maybe 6cm tall (to keep some stiffness), mount the slide rail to the top again and mount the cabinet's half of the slides at the same height.

This gave me the luxury to drill some storage bumps into the wood, where screws and other tiny stuff can be placed safely. Together with several 19" spaces, including one for my computer and a whole wiring with a dozen plugs - yes, love seeing no cables as well - makes me quite proud of the result. At least, I haven't felt the urge to make anything else for a decade now since I built that thing.

I think she has physical stops there, that prevent the bed from going further down. 🤗😇 I did worry about the monitor at the beginning, but it looks fine now, from a different angle. I don't love that you see the underside of the bed /slats - maybe she could cover that up with not see trough fabric, so it's still breathable? That's only the perfectionist in me though, the rest looks so amazing and definitely her style. 😎🤣

Gosh this layout is so perfect. That whole concept with the bed hanging over the pc is just so awesome

Love this. It reminds of your old videos when you guys did more home projects like that secret room. I too made a room that's my gaming/TV/art... but changed to office due to COVID room. I too used Ikea furniture for the legs of the desk. I even ran into the exact same problem you have with not getting much access to the top drawer under the table top. I swapped it out for shelves and a door. You guys can go that extra mile of using the drawer fronts as the door, so it doesn't change the aesthetics.

These builtins are INCREDIBLE! Everything is so customized, I adore it. Have you potentially considered cutting the side partially out of the Problem Drawer? Like not enough to hinder the drawer pull, of course, but like a big ol’ notch, make it easier to reach into. This was a fantastic video, I love builtins, customized spaces, optimized, everything about this is perfect.

Such an amazing transformation and love it - such a great place to be productive in - sleep is productive if you need it, gaming and movies are great inspiration for art and such a 'peaceful' room to focus or relax in.... The longer you're gone, the more we think 'What the hell is Martina's next project if it's taking this long must be huge/amazing!' and then its bigger and more amazing than we expected!!... We'll watch as often or as infrequent as Projects take!!

You should add hinges to the drawer faces for the drawers stuck sideways under the desk. That way, you can access the full drawer.

Super cool room. If I can make a suggestion for your top drawers that don't have much room for access. How about making the side of the drawer fold down using some hinges and magnets to keep the side in place when closed. Then you can just pull on the side to access anything inside then fold the side back up before sliding the drawer back in.

I'm surprised you didn't have a fantasy themed room already 😂

Inspired by your previous video on the wizard study room, I wanted to turn my room into a fantasy crafting studio. I've been doing this planning for the previous two months. I've planned almost anything. And I was just going to start building that studio in the next three days. And then you dropped this masterpiece. Now what am I supposed to do? 🙆♂️🙆♂️😬😬
