From my experience, CMY cubes and that larger, colourful infinity cube are better as meditation or mindfulness aids than as fidget toys. Something to focus on rather then to help you focus on other things. The fidget cube is by far my fav fidget toy. I backed it on kickstarter back in the day and have not stopped playing with it since. They are so durable and multi useful

Reminds me of my first grade teacher who had several fidget toys in the back of the classroom. She had fidget cubes (we were only allowed to use the quiet stuff, and yes the buttons usually have two silent buttons and 3 loud buttons but some cubes have buttons that all have the sound), the ball in the mesh, and these snaky things you can just twist into different shapes.

In regards to the scratchiness of the 3D printed toys and their suggestion of "smoothing them out": Because of the way these particular toys are printed, I don't know of a way, personally, that this could be accomplished. These toys are printed as a single piece, meaning it's a single print, and all pieces are printed in place with joints that allow them to move. There is no way to pull them apart without breaking them. Source: I have a 3D printer and have printed some of these types of toys.

@TeacherProduced
@TeacherProduced 2 жыл бұрын
@@lazyhomebody1356 Which is why it is so important to help them find options now, while they are young. Giving kids strategies for quiet spaces isn't coddling. Distractions and antsy bodies are a normal part of being a kid and often something that makes learning difficult, both for kids and adults. If I can help them find an option now, they may find possibilities when they are older. Some kids need quiet. We can manufacture it. Some need to keep their fingers busy. This year, I had kids who would leap out of their seat and have no idea they did it until I asked. If keeping their right/left foot/hand quietly busy means the electric energy inside them has a place to release, I'm going to let them explore the options. Especially if it means they don't grow up thinking they are the bad kid that is always getting in trouble for wandering around... or grow up thinking it's okay to throw erasers at the back of someone's head because they are "just high energy".

This is fun to watch because I actually prefer the 3-bubble-popper thing at the beginning to the rainbow type ones. The resistance is great and I always have it clipped to my pants for easy access.

We got a bunch of the Suction fidget toys in my store. My boss got a hold of it and we knew exactly where he was in the store. After they put them at the registers we al started playing with them. They sold out very quickly.

My favorite fidgets are Tangles and Atoms. The Atom CAN be a puzzle for when the store is complete dead and I've already done all the cleaning I could, but mostly it's just a fidget. It's very clacky, though. The Tangle is almost completely silent, so it's way better for, like, a classroom or a meeting.

You covered them in your last fidget toy video. I recently began to use the bubble popping fidget toy that makes the sound. I orginally got it just to make some tiktok videos and also annoy my mother at times but I found it actually helps me with writing when I'm stuck on a chapter or help me stop fidgeting when sitting still.

A couple of those reminded me of origami and 3-d geometric crafts that can be easily made from paper. One such construction is a hexaflexagon. Lots of patterns are available online and they have the added benefit that you can decorate. Sticky notes can often be used to substitute for origami paper , too. 🌼
