They used all of the characters in levels that optimized their potential, while showing where all the mushrooms were. Very good longplay!

Same thing with the kid Icarus playthrough. Watch the Medusa fight at the end. He's about to die and his health goes up a bit. Save states for sure.

You need to time it right. You can see the cherries pop up at regular intervals, so catch them the next time they appear

I think 2-1 and 6-2 are the only levels with no 2nd mushroom. Yeah that one is something a lot of people, I'm sure, have struggled to locate over the years. Second mushrooms don't exist for these two levels.

It's a lot more important to get as many lives as you can in this game. It seems like you'll always get the 1st mushroom in each level with the potion. Also you can just get the potions without the coins and go to an area with lots of coins. As long as you don't pick up coins anywhere you can do this a maximum of 2 times.
