There was some talk a while back about DAS only competitions and how that might work. Now there is talk about a level cap or a countdown timer once your opponent tops out. I think now (or rather after CTWC) would be the right time to experiment with a few different options. World Records - We can keep the existing system with no limits/level caps for high score WRs. Competition Rules - Some kind of level cap/time limit/countdown timer for CTWC Vintage Rules - A game mode which allows DAS players to compete. Maybe we enforce a genuine "kill screen" at level 29 so the emphasis is on stacking skill and efficiency at levels 18-28. Or maybe we remove the scoreboard fix, and the first player to "max out" at 999999 wins.

hearing the commentator talk about the double killscreen etc made me think maybe if the score difference reaches a certain point the game ends, that way the player ahead is inclined to take more risk or force the player behind to take more risks but there would still be a potential of longer killscreen runs.

Congrats EricICX! You are the first person to reach the glitched colors starting at level 138 aka Watermelon and the first to reach a dark level of the hard to see 146 via Dusk. However, more challenges awaits for you to complete them… I’m almost to be sad if I failed ALREADY at level 0 - the beginning, just like when at school sometimes while being bullied(sometimes being angry and punching them, but rather wanted to calm down instead of just being angry). Anyway, level 146 is a big goal. Have you ever achieved an even bigger goal - a game crash? Blue Scuti did. You must be the first person to beat Tetris TGM3 Classic Rule Shirase Mode naming yourself as CTM. But what if I said you can get multiple rebirths in a game in NES Tetris? And that is BetaTetris - an AI, of which getting up to 3 rebirths before losing at 205! That’s level 973 if playing forever! That’s also >2 line rollovers - the most difficult of ALL! You have great momentum, EricICX. Want to get past 146? Adjust the settings brighter for more progress. But 148 might be hard to see no matter what, but you have to do this to get past 146 because that’s your only way. Good luck getting a game crash or reaching confetti or a desync!
