Great looking knife and lots of belly is great to have especially for a camp kitchen and this one has some thickness to it to handle some chopping and batoning. It's proven itself to be a very usable blade shape for an outdoors knife. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

I don't have any experience with that style blade. I've never even held one. There's the nesmuck and the Canadian belt/camp knife that in my head have the same function but never messed with one. I'm learning a lot on this one.

Just an interesting fact… there is no actual proof the Nessmuk knife ever really existed. Sears was not a fan of the big, Bowie choppers of the day. He believed in carrying a “trinity of blades” He advocated a double bit hatchet, a large folder and a 4-5” fixed blade. He drew a picture as an example in his book but that’s it. He was never seen with this actual style blade. His double bit hatchet was custom made so it’s possible he had a blade made but no one knows for sure. It’s an interesting story that contrasts the Kephart knife and it’s story. Great demo brother. Love this knife.

I love love love Nesmuk style knives! They give you a great angle for food processing, the long belly makes them a slicer, and they are good batoning knives if the spine is thick enough. By the way, they do a excellent job in cutting Pizza. You have to think about adding the "slicing the Pizza - Test by Kong", not only for testing axes, but also to your knive testing routine. I gives huge insights into the capabilities of knives - and Pizza for the all of the family. 😉 #22aday #22adaynomore Stay safe everybody, and stay blessed. Greetings from Germany!

Good looking knife. More like a skinner but either way it’s a very useful tool. Probably one of the many uses that was intended by the blade design. Awesome demo brother and the blade coating held up well. Hope you and Megatron have an awesome weekend. Stay safe brother. BTW Dave Canterbury did a short series on KZbin talking about gear and the ideas behind their use and place in the kit. I know you’re very busy but if you ever get a chance and want to,check it out. 👍👍
