For example, and this is just one, in Germany from 2018 foreigners accounted for 12.5% of the population but 65% of the crime. If you had you'd know they are making changes to visa applications that will make it harder for workers to come here and discourage people with families coming to study and work. That will naturally bring the migration down. They have already been processing asylum applications and have already deported 10,000 since they took over. Much of the annual data is prior to any policy implementation and based on figures under Tory leadership. Labour are moving in the right direction

Govt should ask UK universities to stop paying huge commissions to agents bringing Indian students to universities. Due the greed for these enormous commissions, the agents in India mislead students into false promises and bring them to UK. Agent's commission paid by UK Universities is 10 to 30% of the tuition fees.

TLDR: Net legal migration has fallen (906k to 728k) , but is higher than originally thought (685k). Those coming are now overwhelmingly from the third world (86٪) and the majority of those for students and student dependents (India, Nigeria, Pakistan). Of those overall coming (728k), 8% are seeking asylum (~60k/year).

A majority means the greater part - so theoretically it could be just over half (but could be much more) of 86%(non-EU)-8% (asylum seekers) =78% of the whole 728k (= 567k) for example. So at least 283k and perhaps almost all of 567k. I hope this helped.
