Hello. May it possible, that you show your head lights in a video? Precisely the side marking leds in the head lights? I'm from Austria and hate the fact, that Volkswagen choose to not put them in the European market head lights. I think about to chance this on my own (own a mk 7.5 facelift too) and need more information and pictures/videos of the side marking lights from a facelift, 'cause sadly nobody films direct this part of them. Unfortunately this is actually becoming a thing with a few manufacturers. Certain features will be built into all the cars, but will be locked unless you paid for them. I’ve even seen some that will be a subscription. Want heated seats? Gotta pay a monthly fee to keep them enabled 🙄

Fantastic video and very well explained. Does the DRL Setting in Head Unit mean you'll be able to active or deactivate both front and rear DRL's (assuming you've activated the Scandinavian rear DRL's)? Via the head unit menu?

Unplug it after. Only plugged in while making changes. They save to the canbus system in the car.

This is very cool, I have a MK7 GTI and I HATE that I can't lock the doors while the engine is running. How much are extra credits for the OBDeleven? I can't seem to find that info on their website. Does this void any warranties from VW?

I am keen to stop the centre section between the dials changing all the time when I do things on the main centre display (eg I have digital speedo there and it changes to phone or whatever). It never did on my old GTI. I'm still getting my head around the 7.5 R as I've only had it a short while :).

Like some of these personalised settings, one I really miss from my Skoda Superb is the lowering mirror when reversing, with the cost just for that. Which Android App were you using for this, seemed very clear and simple to use. EDIT I realise now the app is part of the OBD package.

Would this obd11 work on 2016 base jetta? Having problem with stock radio touchscreen,right side is not responsive to any touch..also dim in Florida 🌞 ! Don’t I think this is worth it for a 2013 Jetta tdi (premium trim)?? For example, my car doesn’t honk when I lock it but I want it to. I do not have push start but when it’s cold I want to be able to start my car with one key and lock it with the other. Heated seat memory would be nice too lol.

The only lights that change are the infotainment accent colours on a MK7.5. The door and sill are always blue for R or red for GTI. And you cannot swap them for canbus controlled RGB, at least I don’t think you can.

Canbus Coding changes are Permanent, unless you remove the code later. Nothing needs to be left inserted.

No I have not. I heard it’s quite subtle. There is also an engine coding change to Audi makes pedal a lot more linear and improves mid-range power, but it causes cruise control error and non function until you clear all the codes and change back to VW. I still might try it someday.

Does the remote shut-off the engine now with mod? ( say u r emptying ashtray and car is running and someone hops in while other person distracted you..can u turn off engine with remote? Maybe even lock that S.O.B. in without him being able to unlock door as key is not with him..your 30ft away..but now hopefully you killed engine,called police,and the theif,now fool is stuck trying to get away,only to be locked in.if not a app is this do -able by coding? isn't the 3rd light mode controlled by your light switch an option for drl & taillights (scandanavian)? it is on my gti. it goes drl, auto, drl/taillights, high beams and pull knob for fogs

I live in Sweden. there is no such.. only drl, auto, lowbeam and pull knob for fog lights or drl, lowbeam and pull knob. The high beam is on the blinker. Just pull it against yourself. Edit of course some cars may be different but as far I know here in sweden and norway. Just like Volvo and Audi. They do have taillights on only when auto is used. so like drl, auto/taillights, lowbeam

Yes 17” is minimum size needed to clear the front R brakes. The drive is slightly more plush vs the 19” Pretoria on continentals.

They are excellent. Just be aware that we are at a transitioning phase towards all new cars and software. 2021+ models will be totally different and likely not as open for software enhancements for a few years (or ever if they encrypt and add always connected software. 2006-2020 is the Canbus Coding era of VW.

How does the Ambient Color App work I just got the OBD11 V2 Pro and when I use the app it comes up 'Not Supported" ... BUT I read the Adaptation code and watched a video on it and after you do the adaption code you have to then reset the radio by holding the power button until the radio turns off and then back on again. (so how does the app perform this function?) Then you click on the light symbol at the end of the color bar and select different areas in the car as well. Seems may be different for different models in different countries even though the OBD11 show's the App for my car. I have a 2020 Golf MK7.5 R. Australia.

Yes. Some things will allow me to tweak and some othets not. Also in Australia. What icks me is, uoi pay for it using an app but don't get the bennefit to have it work. There should be a refund system. I did manage the various colour choices. 2020 mk 7.5
