I knew it!! Had a feeling the actors actually did some of the stunt themselves, even though they are masked anyway. Truly hype me up to train CrossFit again. The cast is perfect! The story was written well that every family member had equal moment to shine. Looking fwd to what happen with the Bureau of Ninja Mgmt and the Shinobi ladies that even the Hattori fam didn't know of.. except Grandma of course. She sneaky. 😂 Can't wait for season 2!!

This was a massive surprise for me. I had heard of nothing about this prior to it appearing on my Netflix page. I saw the preview and what struck me was how visually pleasing it was-like it was actually shot with cinematic sensibilities. I decided to give it a go and true enough, I was immediately impressed by the attention to lighting, composition, and overall production design. Even more impressive was how consistent it remained throughout the whole show. That's no easy feat and it really puts a lot of other big-budget shows to shame. Also, the editing, thank goodness they made it a point to keep as much of the movement as possible. Nothing butchers good choreography or exposes bad ones than terrible editing, erratic camera movement, and incessant cutting in between movements. Here, you get to appreciate the movement and physicality of the performers and your brain doesn't lose track of the characters' positions. I feel like this show serves as a great technical blueprint for other shows to follow. Here's hoping we get another season or two. 👍🏽

I wish it was more widely recognised. I only found it by chance and I enjoyed every second of it. Visually stunning and the action scenes were shot very well. I’m going to miss this show very much 😢.

Agreed, I was shocked by how good this was. I put this on my second screen while I did some work on my first and this show just DEMANDED my full attention. Some shots made me go "wow!" and go back just to admire the scene composition and take in the details.

To my surprise this wasn’t a typical ninja-action series. The script. The SOUNDTRACK. The very smart motifs. And how they gave modern-Shinobi, modern challenges. It all fit so well.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE House of Ninjas! It not only brought back memories of watching the Sho Kosugi versions of Ninja's, but with an epic modern take, as-well-as incorporating strong FAMILY values, all while being the legendary and mythical warriors we have all grown to love, appreciate, and respect. The subtleness of humor, along with an even stronger essence of humanity, accompanied [of coursed] with the awesomely choreographed and captured fight scenes, truly made House of Ninjas, my most favorite Ninja Show of all time. I literally binged watched and finished the entire season the first weekend the show came out. I TRULY hope that we will have another Season. Why not, even 6 more Seasons.

I thought at least they would have stunt doubles when they fight in masks, and some scenes when they fight in the dark but no, it was the same actors doing all of that on top of acting their characters so damn well! The first season was an incredible introduction to the story and really pulled me in to this family I’ve fallen in love with now. The season also had some parts they could’ve done better, such as the older sibling mysteriously coming back in the middle of the season. They should’ve brought him back at the end of the season as a cliffhanger to get excited for the family’s reaction in season 2. Also, Tsujioka Yosuke should’ve stayed as the villain for all of season 1 and 2, I feel like he was already setup as a great villain with his organization, their plans and him leading the fight to take over Japan. His setup was great, that’s why it felt wierd when all of a sudden he died at the end and someone else took over as the main villain instead. Nevertheless, Netlfix please make a season 2 of this AWESOME SHOW!!!🙏🙏🙌🙌

I actually watched this together with ninja kamui. I wish they could've gone to a flashback going back to the battle of the clans. Just like in basilisk between Fuma vs Iga clans and in the middle, Nabunaga and Hattori Hanzo

This was an amazing show! I loved each member of the family, especially the Mom and the Grandma, who have surprises up their sleeves. The Grandma is especially mysterious, and she communicates with her best friend (?) without words -- it's fascinating. The grief they have at the loss of the older brother is moving. The only character I didn't care for was Karen, who was a little too opportunistic and I couldn't understand how one of the main characters could fall in love with her instantly and be willing to give up everything for her. Hope this is a huge global hit and we see season 2!

I think Japanese action movies trying their best to minimize the using of stunt double in their movies. Most of their action movie always make their actor and actress do their own stunt. Idk what their reason but Kudos for the actor and actress for doing their own stunt. their hard work does paid off and the finished scene turns out really really well.
