Just a quickly but 3rd? They did the XR300, XR450, XR500, XR700 and the XR1000. 6E can’t be updated on this router, it’s only dual and can’t be updated to add a new channel. Mu Mimo is also not just WiFi 6 but you need devices to support this and at least 2 devices being used at the same time to see benefits.

I bought the Asus RT AX54U because I thought it could do 300MB/s between a LAN'ed and wireless (with 2 WiFi 6 card). Have not tested it yet.

What if I connect this Nighthawk router to a 2-in-1 modem? Will there be any interference with the modem's own router connection?

Found it really poor and swapped it for an ASUS RT AX88U - it doesn't even support BT FTTP's IPv6 :/

Hi Mate I know you posted this a while ago but ive just got this router and trying to upgrade from my basic Bt router, I cant seem ti get internet on the nighthawk tho! Ive got a ADSL filter and them im going into the router from there, am I missing something? Do I need a modem in between them? My BT hub never had one. Struggling!!

Apologies for the slow reply! You're 100% going to need a modem between this and the phone line. The BT router comes with one built-in, but this does not. Your best bet is searching for a VDSL modem to use in between, but if Fibre is available in your area you should upgrade to that as Openreach will install a "modem" for you to use with any router you wish. This router cannot play multiplayer cod Cold War on pc. Terrible lag spikes. Terrible ping, and yes after all guides and adjustments.

I disagree, I’ve been playing it fine since it was released and it’s currently my daily driver. Reset it to factory defaults and re-configure.

Depending on your connection you need to do a bit of work to optimise the router. If you are having issues pop over to Netdumas forum and post away to get some help setting the router up.
