That is what it supports up to in combination of the 2.4 and 5GHz Bands (600Mbps & 4.8Gbps) but you will never get those kind of speeds due to the limitation of your internet provider. I'm paying for Spectrum and I have the 600/25Mbps plan. The Best one I've seen is Verizon Fios and that's 1/1Gbps.

The QoS is proprietary to Netduma and is a form of CoDel. However for lines above 400 or where networks are not sufficiently using the bandwidth on offer it’s best not to use QoS.

Both offer different WiFi standards and software. Can’t really compare the 2 but the R8000 is a set and forget router where the XR1000 has software that allows better QoS and has features to help gamers. It’s more hands on.

So you have a Cable Modem Router so you would need to disable the Router feature on that and connect the XR1000 into that Modem. Then u would just need to go through the setup process. If you need to buy a separate modem then a DOCSIS 3.1 Modem would be the best option

I’ve stopped being associated with Netgear and Netduma because of that issue. It worked for me for a while and then the updated started to mess everything up. Their quality control has gone down hill and they can’t release the updates quick enough. Netduma has to do their quality control and then send it to Netgear to do their quality control and that takes like 2+ months until it’s released to the public. It’s just ridiculous and I was tired of it so I no longer use their Nighthawk Gaming Routers unfortunately

So normally during the update process, no matter what, I don't turn the router off and turn it back on because that can corrupt/damage it. I wait about 30 min until I have to do that. But I've had routers lose the connection during the update, most likely because it's rebooting or something but after like a few min I get my internet back. If it continues to do it and you just can't update the router, you might have a defected unit so I would contact the manufacturer to see what they would recommend

So this video actually pretty old and I received the unit before it was available. I tested it for a month or so and I had no problems. Until, fast forwarding a few months and I started to get issues with the Software/Firmware and having Duma OS be unstable and a ton of my devices getting disconnected, etc. So I eventually replaced it and could not rely on the Nighthawk Pro Gaming Routers and I disbanded from them. Right now I'm using a Asus Gaming Router but I've messed with a few others in the past The major issue is Netgear makes the hardware and Netduma makes the software so any issues that needs to be fixed, Netduma has to make a patch but then have to get permission from Netgear to push it out to the public which takes weeks. Overall, I loved the Nighthawk Routers when it worked but it's too unstable to recommend anymore. Hope this helped

@@jose2300 Normally yes but sometimes it doesn't always work. Sometimes you need to restart the game and console in order for it to take affect. Other times you need to do another step and do a DMZ but that will remove the device from the Firewall so it's less secure but that's up to you

It can’t increase your package. 40mbps if that’s on both upload and download is fine for gaming as gaming requires very little. I’m guessing you have less up load speed. Duma has features that can help if you have a busy household who all use the internet at once, it’s not perfect but helps. If however you have a poor line or faults on your line this or any other router will not solve your issue.

It’s a hard one to answer as no two properties will be quite the same. With WiFi you have various hurdles to handle from devices, EMI, RFI, the environment, weather and so on. If you have your router in a central location and away from electrical equipment that is the best place to start with.

Yes, the reason why they didn't go with the Quad-Core Processor like the XR700 is because it's just Overkill at that point and it'll be more expensive. 3 is enough and the 3rd processor isn't used so often

It will struggle a bit as it’s using one processor for DPI so only 2 cores do the rest of the work and so when 3.1 appears with its new QoS and if you have a fast connection the combination requires more processing. The XR500 and XR700 have separated processors for DPI but the pricing is dictated by the use of third party software. The reason why one cpu shows low usage is it’s bugged. DPI is continually operating. It is however a 64bit core so helps.

It could possibly be a different IP Address for you for some reason. You can also try "Routerlogin.net" The complicated way to find out the IP Address for your router is on Windows, Hit the Windows Button -> Type CMD -> Choose the Command Prompt -> then type in "ipconfig" -> then hit Enter. The Gateway IP is the IP Address for your Router and you can type that in on the Search Bar. Hopefully this helps out 👍🏽

Just edit your current console & then choose Apex Legends in the list of available games. I never do this as I play a variety of games. I choose 'games console'. I also goto AUTO SETUP & let the router change the d'load & upload to find the best ping, wether it's Idle or a saturated connection. It WILL find the best setting.

Most people on average probably only have 10 or 15 devices connected at any given time. I placed the order for mine on 9-18-2020 and I’m still waiting for it to be shipped. Not sure why it’s taking so long. Initially it was supposed to be at my door step on 10-7-2020, but when that day arrived it got delayed. I had $500 in Amazon gift cards that I saved up for a few years so that’s why I choose to Amazon. You didn’t mention anything in your review but it does have a guest network that you can enable correct??

@@Tech_HD1 oh ok good 😌. I like setting up 2 networks. I put all my less secure IOT devices on the guest network and keep them off my main network. Like my Alexa dot, nest cam that kind of garbage internet stuff. Plus if I have anyone comes over to the house I never 👎 allow them to connect to my main network only the guest network. Just for security reasons because if they bring an infected/ compromised devices and then connect said device to my main network now my main network will also be at risk. Do you follow the same protocol for your internet??

Yea that's a good idea. For the most part, all of my main devices are connected to my Internet and my friends and guests are connected to the Guest Network and I just enable it when they come over

A Cable Modem is what you get from your Internet Provider to have Internet. A WiFi Router is what produces the Internet wirelessly. You need a Modem in order to have internet and for this router to work. I highly recommend researching before you buy this bro

The XR series of routers are based on the equivalent NG router, in this case it’s the RAX50 a mid tier router. The trouble is the backbone where the lan ports share these larger than 1 gig connections. The R7000 could only share 2 gig out of its 10 gig across the lan ports.
