If you play it at half speed and look closely, the strings are actually not upside down. I think it’s The Mandela Effect.

@@__belial__ +1 on strings I used heavier strings for so long only to learn that Buster was using much lighter strings you lose a lot of "bounciness" when the strings are too tight

It’s complicated because its not the PIn by itself. You can watch the DAW open in another window. The chain is somewhat like this: Whammy with midi automation, EQ, Compressor, PIn Gojira with high noise gate 1:30pm, EQ, Saturn 2, Stereo PIn and another track mono ….

Odelholm Audio Eebsote has Buster Odeholm's own plug ins and vsts. I reccomend his bass vst stuff for Konktakt and his vst drums are elite... So sick sounding. I also have GGD ARCHITECTS and it just sounded way more crushing right out if the bix but when i loaded it up it was one of the best csrs ive ever used for this type of genre. Check out the other bands buster produces. They all rip. Heavensgate, THROWN, Born Of Osiris and especially ALLT.

I was going to comment about how buster holds his pick hand like a gorilla. Then I really thought about it and I can't think of a better way to do it if you are gonna play with your guitar flipped like that. Otherwise your fingers are going to get in the way of the "low" strings. This man is playing guitar 200cc mirrored.

He was a lefty and a drummer, and he picked up his brother's standard guitar and learned it lefty style. He grew accustomed to it and eventually bought a lefty guitar and strung it backwards.

to stop any strings from getting caught on the corner of the pickup, usually it's done for the highest/thinnest strings, but i imagine since these guys are smacking the lowest like it owes them money, that's the one most at risk of getting caught on account of the low tuning making it extra wobbly

They typically play in drop F# or lower, and use tuning pedals to get down to as low as double drop A. Their songs will basically all have multiple tuning changes throughout, going down for some of the lower chuggy parts, and then going up for the shrieky dissonant parts.

I'd have to agree. It's best to look at it as an expression of art like going into a gallery and viewing artwork that just looks like junk. That being said I have Archetype Gojira and its by far the best ampsim neuraldsp have put out.
