NEVER DO THIS! Fishing on DEADLY Beach Jetty!

DANGER. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS! This beach jetty is full of amazing fishing, but it comes at a price. It is risky and dangerous to fish like this. Jetty fishing is typically more dangerous than standard beach fishing because the rocks are very slippery. The rocks are the dangerous part, however they are also the reason so many fish are around. We love to catch fish off the jetties because there are plentiful fish!

Great video, I’ve been fishing under that bridge for 40 years. We’ve caught plenty of fish off of the jetties as well, but I’ve never walked out there.

Awesome video! Hurricane Matthew or Irma destroyed the pier by the jetties.

That's looks like Ft. Clinch on Amelia Island at the mouth of the St. Mary's River. It's CRAZY dangerous! It's so unsettling, you feel sick to your stomach while you're out trying to fish, even at low tide in calm seas. I was told there used to be a boardwalk that a hurricane destroyed, but funding never came through to rebuild it. And we even fished under that bridge too, but kept getting hung up on all the oysters. We moved to the docks at the Ft. Clinch public boat ramp where we had our best luck.

Glad you made it back just fine. Sometimes its worse than that fishing Lake Michigan but much better walking and has a wall for the waves to hit.

Would like to know how you were rigged. I can see the slip bobber, but how deep were you fishing? Were you on the bottom? Looked like a lot of weight.

I’d wait until a safer point in the tide next time. Would hate to see you guys end up like the tourists that die walking on the black rocks here in Nova Scotia every year at a popular tourist attraction called “Peggy’s cove”. It’s sad. There are a cray amount of warning signs, very clearly saying you will die if you walk on the black rocks, yet there’s always tourists dying on the rocks. Someone always slips and gets washed out to sea.
