Everyone always claims to have the best work out. The truth is it does not work for everyone. Let your body tell you. Let the muscle tell you. Does it contract? Does it feel comfortable? If it hurts it is not being done right.

I always remember your advice because of your humor. "Stack the joints" has become my mantra and has changed every upper body exercise I do! Exactly. People think more is always better. It's not. Especially with shoulders. You do less weight with correct form, and it will be just as tough, and you'll feel where you should. Not be cheating, not working the shoulders right, and end up ripping something anyway.

Bro why have I just now found your channel with the lat pull down video, you break down the muscular structure and supportive muscle roles better than anyone I've seen on KZbin so far. Immediately subscribed. For a beginner/intermediate lifter like myself that's only been working out for about a year and just trying my best to follow form this is a god send to have it all broken down and I feel like these videos will really help with mind muscle connection and understanding how to best target and isolate the muscle groups I am actually intending to focus. Thanks for putting so much effort and care into it. Real MVP here.

I had to subscribe, because after years of trial and error, these 3 exercises are exactly the ones I’ve been using for my shoulder routine for the past few years now. Looking forward to more content like this! 💪😎

There 100% are optimal exercises. Risk vs reward, emg tests, etc. gatekeeping fitness isn’t good, but it helps absolutely no one to say “oh whatever you works for you then.” Especially if they are beginners. If you get big and stay healthy using non optimal exercises then you are getting to good places in spite of your selections, not because of them

Yea I hate when people use progress of those that have gone before them and through their own personal trials and errors to help better others wanting to learn. Why on earth would you tell a younger version of yourself that there’s a faster and better and safer way to get the results that took you 10-20 years and the knowledge you’ve accrued over a quarter of a century?

Behind the neck press is honestly a great lift if you have the mobility to do it. I have had 0 pain in my shoulders after 6 months and my stability has greatly increased.

No video no lie. Why do behind the neck when there are behind the trap, behind the shoulder and behind the back to increase the stability, mobility and enduring.

Peace. For my personal confirmation, I am glad you posted this. Since I don’t have a build like yours, or of a “hulkamaniac,” people at my gym did not take my advice seriously when I humbly used to tell them about their improper lifting techniques. Thanks for sharing. How are you doing with the sportbike track days? I’m sure you’re improving exponentially.

I just open up Arnold’s encyclopedia and pick out 4 shoulder exercises that he has listed.

Arnold has some good advice for sure, but people using his book as their workout bible fall into the same trap that Mentzer worshippers do. Some of that stuff has been proven to be ineffective, or there are better exercises for hypertrophy. A lot has stayed the same, but a lot has changed.

The BTN press and upright row work best for me when I use a wide grip for the BTN press (Klokov Press) and don't go lower than my ear lobes. Upright rows with dumbells, wider hand spacing, imagine pulling up your elbow not your hands.

Great video my dude! So many people are focused on super setting everything and adding in so much to their routines when really “less is more” 💪 All these exercises like the Cuban Press just creates so much extra that isn’t needed
