Always leave fresh food and water all around the house when you’re not there or even when you’re there, never leave a cat overnight by itself without fresh food and water and someone to come in and check on them

Don't leave food all around the house. Free feeding cats is bad for them as they have a high chance of over-eating and becoming obese. If you are going to be gone, arrange for a sitter to feed them at their regular times.

i have pet cat, living in the forestry no someobe taking care there but have food keep in 2 little food box good for one week because every weekend visiting in the forestry,

I left my cat alone for two days. i left an automatic cat feeder and water to last for several days. When came back home two days later I my cat refused to eat dry cat food. I gave him wet food. He ate little then he started to journey in places he normally didn't seat. I able to get an appointment with Vet. I didn't realize my cat skin had turned yellow. My cat had liver disease. I had put him asleep. I learned my lesson.

Let cats go outside. Then they can meet other cats and do a bit of exploring and hunting. Cats should NEVER live in apartments, with no access to a garden, as this is just cruel! Life is for living, NOT for being in permanent lockdown!

If you saw how many cats have gone missing in my area, you'd turn your cat into a house cat. Plenty of playtime and cuddles keep him happy.
