Those of us who grew up in the Viet Nam era remember this very powerful anti war song. Sadly still relevant today. Another light but powerful anti war song is by Country Joe and the Fish- called "Viet Nam Song" on KZbin. Just a funny/not funny ditty he performed at the Woodstock festival. What a time it was - I'm proud to be part of the Woodstock generation, we were appalled by the killing. Now days it's become all too common, sadly.

Back then any man 18 or older wondered every time the mail came if they were going to be soldiers tomorrow and go to Vietnam. We lived in a small 18-house development, I don't know how many kids were drafted in our community? I do know 3 did not come home and 2 were wounded. One kid had just graduated got a really good job and bought a red 66 Corvette. Two weeks later he was drafted. He parked his car by the shed in the backyard. He never came home and the car sat for 40 years where he parked it until his parents died. He was their only child. At the same time, we had people walking around on the moon. You looked up at the moon and you people were on it.
